have no friends or have never used it.
it's a good feature to have. xbox live doesn't force you to join a cross chat game, you have to accept an invite.
if you find it cuts your attention from the game ur playing, dont use it. if you find your friends are annoying, dont use it, but ask yourself why you add ppl who annoyed you to your friends list.
there is NO good debate against cross chat. its a good feature. its not mandatory. just...

all companies have research teams for this. the problem holding back ms from changing the d-pad and sony from changing the triggers is simple: TRADEMARKS
ms/sony cant do much about it if changing a simple aspect on a peripheral means paying up the arse to a 3rd party.
i will have to start looking for that adapter that lets me use the 360 pad on my ps3.

i have removed my xbox live renewal from my credit card.
microsoft has been disappointing me a lot lately, and i will see their actions after kinect release to determine if i should shelve the xbox live experience till next gen :C
and to those claiming cross game chat and custom soundtrack on all games arent good features....obviously you never tried it. they are ALMOST worth the $50 a year, but def not worth $60 :C

everyone who wasn't blind could see the major difference b/w an SD tv and an HDTV where the only thing holding them back was price.

searching for movies on ps3 is cumbersome compared to the 360 version.
however, both systems need to implement better ways to search for movies, instead of having to rely on a pc to choose specific movies.
