1) there are 2 ad spaces in xbox live in 2 blades. the greeting blade and marketplace. they have been there since the beginning. this aint nothing new.
2) these 2 ad places give everything from small promotions for music, game releases, contests or free stuff
3) the ads are pictures, so the update would only make it viable to have small movie ads. in the same ad space.
4) these two ad places are about 2.5x3 inches. taking up at most 15-20% of the s...

xbox 360 is the reason HD-DVD is failing.
If 360 had gone with HD-DVD built in, HD-DVD sales would be through the roof due to the headstart.
