I know that using RROD is lame, but so are these analogies of "you were here at two years and I was here..." One could also say "I had major hardware problems and you didn't have any yet I'm still increasing my lead over you."
Sony definitely could have advertised both the games and the console a little better. Another problem I saw early on was that sony pushed the PS3 10 times more as a blu-ray player than they did a game console. Which to me appears as if they took their fanbase for granted thinking the playstation name would carry the PS3 without any advertisements.

This article made a lot of good points about the PS3. However the title is all wrong. "More affordable" means less expensive.

We have 4 PSN accounts on my PS3, My girl has one and my roommates have one each. And they are all on my PS3. So it the numbers are based on active PSN accounts, then they are clearly skewed and misleading.
I somewhat understand what you are saying, the problem I have with your theory is. Who are you getting your numbers from for the other regions, and are we to believe that their numbers are more accurate than Microsoft's?

This bundle normally sells for 299 without blue dragon. So, to get blue dragon for free is a bonus. Microsoft could have not bundled anything and just sold the holiday bundle as is. Where is the nintendo or Sony military appreciation bundle. Hmm, well I guess you have to start somewhere.

I think he left his words in context. All he did was quoted him, he could have easily called them both owners, yet his subconscious mind convinced him to do otherwise. That in itself says a lot about a person. The things they do or say with really even knowing they did it.
