I tend to skip a rendition of a game when they do this. Unless something REALLY special (And I mean really special) happens with L4D2 I'll pass on it as I did with the last call of duty (world at war)

I checked you numbers against vgchartz (all I had) and they are pretty much dead on. I totally agree with you on how numbers can be tricky and so can headline, some game release in different periods for some consoles and they can change to numbers. The problem is that some people can't comprehend that.
