i agree completly and with your other comment.
13 is missing towns the exploration the mini games the random conversations with npcs, world map, combat failed at 12 as i like to completly controll each character Bring back turnbased combat. sorry for ranting i am one of those that got xiii on name only and its ok but i feel that im near the end and its not started yet like the normal 10hour start to a final fantasy game just the whole way through, no way it should be a numbered ff game...
i cant see it in my uk collectors edition and my art book is printed upside down backtofront annoying for 59.99
i just hope arc aint filled with poor wii ports and stupid party games.
for xbox it may be an 9/10 but due to the higher quality of games on ps3 it only deserves an 8/10

just finished it and all i will say is yes it is brilliant and any ps3 owner wondering weather its for them or not should just buy it, you wont regret it, starting second play straight away.
but they are sort of like movies i really enjoy cutscenes be it a fps or rpg as its a good way of story telling when its not possible to do so ingame. But thats just my view i really like games that are story driven and well written as much as having good gameplay. Cutsceens ftw
becuase most of the square games this gen havent been made by them just published by them its important that people rember that, and verses has a proper world map so should have towns ect those that think ffxiii wasnt majorly stripped down to be multiplat are delusional (and im not a ps3 fanboy) still to all that disagree if versus dont end up multiplat it wil prove me right. well i sure hope so

i will test later as i havent turned my ps3 on for 3 days due to being busy then this bug, so if i unplug net and turn it on it should in theory still be bugged right? unless they just let it roll over to fix wich seems likely but shouldnt mean sony is wrong for waiting to see if it would fix itself as they were probably 99% sure thats what would happen.
people seem to forget that it is normally PR people who say stuff like
ps3 cant handle..../only ps3 can handle....
so generally just a load of rubbish.
the competion should be between the companies not us gamers and i dont see sp coming to ps3 until the next one.

im fed up of all this flamebait its put a really negative view on ff13 im nowhere near as excited for this as i usally would be (not because its multiplat) because of all the "bad" reviews im still getting it day 1 and hope it is alot better then im expecting
im getting as its a final fantasy game and the main thing i like is the story side of them, but iff they keep sucking they wont have my support just as it final fantasy. didnt play 11, 12 sucked so this is the last time i buy due to being a final fantasy fan alone. (it got 9 in offical ps3 mag in uk)
sony own 8% of square and had publishing rights on 7 and think they helped fund it and other ps1 ffs hence no 7/8/9 on live
just for the people bashing square saying they have been rubbish latley i could be wrong but isnt final fantasy xiii there fisrt game this gen. they may have published others but this is first they made so im not worried about quality. but i am worried about the secret menu option i hope its a card game but go a nagging feeling they have added some lame online mode to compete with wknight.
just to attempt to clear up this tv compatibility mess from what i have read you either need a dlp tv with glasses like at cinema or a 120 hrtz tv with electronic shutter glasses but your tv will need a post for an infared thing that syncs with the glasses all this tech is built in to alot of usa sets that you wouldnt have realised but us in uk will 99% need new tv but rumor in new ops3 mag says sony are trying to get it to work on all hdtvs assuming they will use ps3 to do all the display ...
