I bet controller sales are slumping big time, considering not much reason to buy more than 1 or 2.
I think I had 10 or so xb360 controllers over time.
So Uncharted: The Yakuza Missions is innovation, but QBs insane time mechanics and particle physics are generic and lame.
mmmm. I dunno about all that.
A TV show is basically a series of live action cutscenes. Probably good that they arent a standard 21 minutes. Story looks really compelling, hopefully the live action stuff holds up. Would be a shame to find myself jamming the A button.
Oh yeah. I feel like I have seen this game associated with 2015 recently.
In any case, looks good. Early next year gives me more time to tend to the ridiculous game lineup this holiday.
@black
that's why I said "if this stuff works as shown".
Obviously this is a discussion of what sort of impact the game will have it it does work. Would be kind of hard to discuss it at all if we cant at least entertain the possibility.
I dont think Microsoft is in a position where they can blatantly lie to everyone, only to be proven wrong 1 year later. Though I know there is a sizable portion of this community who would believ...
Good preview. I liked the last bit about how you were surprised at enjoying it so much. I've been getting the feeling that this game could be the sleeper hit for me this holiday. Looks like easy pick-up-and-play casual shooting fun, but its doing some new things too.
Have you SEEN IGNs 19 minute video?
Whether or not some people want to admit it, if this stuff works as shown then it is the very definition of "game changer".
A fully destructible city with realistic materials where you can enter every building, explore every story, and dismantle the entire thing completely dynamically any way you choose in massive destructible-city PVP insanity?
I dont know what your definition of gamechanger is, ...
lol @ spotie. You honestly think it doesn't matter? Not everyone is into that sort of game. That you simply expect that everyone should necessarily dig what Naughty Dog does is hilarious. Should we all just unanimously agree right now that UC4 is GOTY 2016? lol.
That you have managed to construct a bubble around yourself doesn't make it so.
If you're partial towards narrative-driven experiences, maybe not. Though ATM I'm more interested in Quantum Break in that regard.
I'm not even sure what to be excited for next year. Halo 5 releases in 2015. The Division is big on my radar, and I want to see more of Recore. Obviously Crackdown next summer is something I'm foaming at the mouth for too.
If Battlefield 5 or Titanfall 2 come next year, they could easily be my GOTY contenders.
I agree. Easy to understand why people who prefer narrative-driven games would gravitate towards Playstation.
lol jesus how did you manage that? I've got over 200k. Need a loan shark? =]
I need Full House Poker right now.
Exactly. Being a more multiplayer-focused guy, it would never even occur to me to think of things the way the Author has put them. For me, I would frame it (and I often think this), "does Playstation lag behind in multiplayer?"
double tap the Xbox button and then press Y
I find that method for both videos and screencaps to be a royal pain in the ass. Never seems to work right, too much jutter to really get the screeny that you want.
That's nice, phil spencer. How bout focusing on first party and bring me Full House Poker, like you promised. Until then I will remain salty on the subject.
Yep. Seems pretty clear.
big Rainbow player, here. The delay is great, IMO. Gives me more time to sink my teeth into Forza6 and Halo5. Not to mention Battlefront.
I'm dying to get my hands on Siege, but perfectly happy with them taking more time to get it right.
Officially same day as Rainbow Six. Unfortunately Just Cause now gets pushed to being an Xmas gift from somebody. Gotta get me sum Rainbow.
JC3 looks insane though. Gonna spend many happy hours with it.
I definitely hit a snag last night around 10pm. Didn't prevent me from gaming, but had trouble loading Netflix and GameDVR content.
but that OK. I forgive you Xbox Live.
You're right. You won. I'd tell you to pat yourself on the back, but I'm sure that you've got it covered.
On Xbox, it's the year of way too many top-tier must-have AAA games. For Playstation, I'm not expecting to buy any games this year. Maybe N++.
Third party offerings are great though. Mainly looking at Battlefront, Siege and Just Cause. Will join Halo 5, Forza 6, Gigantic and a few smaller titles on the pile of games I'll be playing forever.
Also really excited to finally get my hands on Ark:Survival when it hits preview. That survival of the fitte...
