You can be as bitter as you want, doesn't bother me. Seems like a poor way to carry a discussion, though. I'm certainly not jumping down your throat.
Microsoft owns the IP. Ownership is the very definition of first party. Microsoft could contract a billion monkeys to write the code and develop the game, it would still be first party. Its not really a big deal or anything worth fighting over. Were discussing games, after all.
Sunset overdrive and quan...
Those are first party franchises. They are being developed by third party studios, but the games are still first party for all intensive purposes.
I like the strategy of getting world class studios to build up your first party franchises, personally. Better chance of success and quality.
Personally, as a gamer who plays predominantly shooting, racing and/or online multiplayer focused games, Microsoft's offerings have always had way more appeal to me than ...
Man you got burned by the "does not understand sarcasm" click. tsssss!
I think I like the mystery more than I would like being able to put a face to him.
To me it's kind of like when you really love a book, and then Hollywood bases a movie on it giving you faces to put to the characters.
Sometimes it works... most of the time it doesn't.
First Remedy game I ever played was Death Rally. I had no idea it was a Remedy game until about 18 years later.
Frkn loved that game when I was a kid. This new mobile bastardization does it no justice. Needs to be the MSDOS version.
Quantum Break looks like it could be massive, if it comes together as well as it's looking. Level of quality in all areas is insane.
I'm still 100% in for
-Forza 6
-Fallout 4
-Halo5
-Battlefront
-Siege
-Just Cause
on the AAA front. Some smaller titles that I'm looking at too, and ARK: survival.
Star Citizen seems sort of like Elite Dangerous to me. These modular games are never finished. I bought ED in preview, expecting it would kind of just keep growing for a few years.
Really, what modern game is ever really done being made? DLC, updates, expansions. games as a service is the new hip thing. I can dig it.
There's a lot of potential there, but I think some of these new franchises need to be really great for it to be an exceptional year. Definitely strong, regardless of first party stuff. Hard to complain for any gamer on any platform, really.
List is alright.
wait... no Super Mario Bros 3... ? NVM, list is TRASH!
Halo CE is on there so I'm pretty happy. Though lack of Pokemon red/blue is a travesty. Also I agree with the first commenter that one of Oblivion/Morrowind/Skyrim deserves to be there. I donno which one.
I would also be tempted to put Battlefield1942 on there.
Wow, graphically pretty insane. could be a fun little game.
Preview is great. One of those things I'm extremely glad MS announced. Huge surprise. Already hooked on Elite Dangerous. The ability to play ARK:Survival this winter is one of my Gamescom highlights.
Dark times, bruh.
They matter to me, because some of them are great games.
Yeah true could be that.
I dont really care at the end of the day, but it is curious.
I think a version of the console without a bluray drive is a no brainer. Would allow them to seriously slash costs, and there is a huge chunk of people who dont bother with physical media anymore.
Though I guess they would have to put at least a 1TB HDD in the console.
I'm dying to get a look at this. Conceptually sounds awesome.
Though I find this change suspicious. I expect it will come to W10, still. Cant be a coincidence.
lol. there is no way in hell I'm reading that.
I'm an Xbox gamer who happens to own a playstation. I make no excuses for my preference.
You are reading way too heavily into this. Something tells me I said something in the recent past that really made you upset, and you've got some sort of score to settle.
So be it!
"You imply that EVERY big-budget game on XB1 is worth it, while nothing on PS4 is. "
Just Forza 6 for me. Already so much game, and the season is just getting started.
I'm the opposite. I find that shooters are easy to jump in and out of without much thought. I work full time and have other obligations, so when I do game usually I play a few rounds of all my favorite online multiplayer games.
A game like TW3 I cant even bring myself to continue playing. Too much of a time sink for the sake of a story I dont much care for.
Jump into the metro underground and splatter the walls with blood for an hour or so. Solid therapy...
If Dreams is well supported it could be amazing to move seamlessly between peoples creations. With Morpheus support, could even be a Killer APP.
Though I'd like to see what sort of things regular users are able to create.
well if you really want to talk definitions, lets do it
from wikitionary
