i've been playing them both and the ps4 version looks a lot better. I think this is one of those cases where its worth it to go ps4. I immediately noticed a lot more pop in and the image is a lot softer on x1. Though after 10 hrs of XP gain on x1 not sure what ill buy.

For me its kind of like when Hollywood makes a movie about a book I love. Sometimes they nail it... but usually they dont. I prefer to maintain my own image of the handsomely pale goblin like creature that is MC.
looks great, definitely up there with Elite Dangerous. the other preview games seem kind of meh. I tried TLD but it seems abit bare bones with too much walking and inventory management. These narrative driven games that are coming dont really appeal to me, though one of them is horror so will fill a niche that needs filling on x1.
No mention of ARK there.... one of my most anticipated. I hope the console version is coming along OK. expecting it early 2016.

I agree with you though, the game is just a blast to play. Walker Assault is so fun. I'm excited to try some different maps and modes.
lol. I totally agree hit detection is fine. every shooter that has ever come out in the history of gaming, there are always people who just plain suck bytching about hit detection. Thats OK though cause I just fill them with clips of lead to demonstrate otherwise.
When rebs play the objectives I've seen the ATATs go down hard.

it really is a confusing game. once you get the hang of the many many unexplained systems it can be a ton of fun. personally I love it if for no other reason than it does a great job simulating the vastness and beauty of outer space. Sometimes can be visually awe inspiring and cause ones inner geek to explode. combat can be fun too, and working to get a great ship and outfit it properly for combat is good fun. My current goal is to get to Sol (easier said than done....WAY easier)

I'm excited for this one. was hoping it would hit console ever since i first saw it. Gamescom announcement for x1 preview blew my mind.
we also get APB soon which is great. playing elite dangerous and SMITE and neverwinter among others. IMO great time to be a console gamer for that reason, we are finally getting a taste of the games that blew up on pc last gen. Its only just beginning. very exciting for those of us who just dont care enough to maintain a gaming pc.
Definitely. Though personally it didn't matter to me, I was having a blast playing as rebels. Would be nice if I wasn't the only one activating uplinks, but people will come to grips with it.
seriously? I was just gaping while I played yesterday. The game is remarkably beautiful, I cant even believe that what they have done is possible on console. Hats right off to DICE, they are bar none the best at what they do.

Lovin the game so far. Not a hardcore shooter, but I like that. It's like a casual version of Battlefield that looks incredible and plays awesome with the greatest license the world has ever known wrapped around it. What's not to like? Looking forward tot trying other maps and modes.
It does look quite good. Keeping a close eye on it.
