I had played this game for almost a week and must had put in 15 hours total and if I am still bored and fusturated with it, then am I still quick to judge? I won't be playing anymore though as I traded in my copy yesterday. Not surprisingly, there were a few other copies on the used rack as well at my local Gamestop.
As I recalled, MS has a first right of refusal to publish future IP developed by Bungie as part of the contract to give Bungie its independence. It took them 6 years to make the game and many of the game assets were already in placed so it is not totally impossible that they were expecting MS to publish the game for them.

You gotta wonder now if Destiny was originally going to be only a xbox exclusive since this has a Halo easter egg but MS refuse to fund it and Bungie decide to make it on all platform as I have a hard time believing Sony would want to see a MS product promoting on their system.
Yea their Big Halo problem is once the MCC dropped with the Halo 5 beta, the online will be a wasteland on the live server. Don't know about the PS4 side though since only COD is left as the only other viable fps option left for the rest of the year and many ps gamers usually don't like that franchise.
I said console exclusive. I find it hard to believe it will be published on a Sony or Nintendo console with a MS logo on it. No doubt PC and mobile will also be in the plan as well.

I love the deal. MS is always being accused of buying timed third party exclusives like Tomb Raider, and yes...even the current Minecraft for the longest and "I'll wait for this _____ (game) to be on my console in 6 months" quote was used constantly by haters. Now, they bought a Huge IP and probably will make the sequel xb1 exclusive on console, the new crying and moaning from haters is that they are wasting money. Go figure. 😕

Took them 6 years to make a dud of a game..don't think a tiny patch will fixed the uninspired gameplay, terrible story, and repetitive nature of this game. They need to do something big quick to dramatically change the game or this game will drop like flies in sales in the upcoming weeks as bad words of mouth start to whisper. See Watch Dogs.

Of course Game informer gave it a high score and avoid listing a lot of the downfalls for a BIG release like this..they are owned by Gamestop and the last thing they want is to upset its investors with poor sales and legs for the game due to bad ratings. I would think the first obvious choice is to somehow tie in Project Spark with Minecraft. Don't know how that will work but I have a feeling something will tie those two together in some fashion.
But the ultimate goal is hire more people for the studio and work on Minecraft 2 and make it crossplay for xbox 1, pc, and portable devices. That would be the ideal and logical goal. I sense a E3 announcement is incoming.
