I think true gamers have much patience with games because they understand just how much work goes into the final product and so they appreciate it more than others normally would.
Well in this generation, if the game doesn't start with immense action scenes you'll be met with reactions like "WHATTTT????!!!!! NO GUNZZZZZ OR EXPLOSIONZZZZZ???!!!! THIS GAME SUCKZZZZ!!!!"
Hopefully Gears 3 comes out awesome (which I feel it will)

I played MGS4 on Big Boss difficulty. My gf is playing it on Solid difficulty. We are both still gamers

A first time buyer must buy the console, a game or two, Xbox Live subscription(free first month I think), and the wireless adapter (assuming they want wireless connection) to play online. Kinda stacks up
