This might be a fresh take for Tomb Raider that the series desperately needs. It looks fun, I hope it turns out well.
I'd love to see the series come back to glory.
I wonder what HP has up their sleeve. WebOS could be ultimate on a tablet PC...
Additional guns in this game will make it quite a bit more appealing. I can't wait to see what Futuremark dishes out.
Well darnit... then Bobby Miller MUST be Figboy, as figs are delicious. It all adds up.
Oh! I love guessing games!
hmmm... I bet Bobby Miller is Pirate Tom. He's probably a handsome fellow that knows a good gaming platform when he sees it.
You're probably right, but since the game was initially developed for the PC, and later ported to the 360, that is where the real frustration comes from. The 360 dev time was delaying the PC release, in the grand scheme of things.
@Tony P glad you enjoyed it, finally someone who saw and appreciated the hyperbole I poured into the piece. And the photos are original :)
@darkride66 NO U. Piracy has not, and will not, kill the PC gaming industry, and it is hardly a reason for the devs to go console exclusive for Alan Wake. Honestly, many people pirate on the PC platform, but tons of people pirate on the consoles as well. I think I saw a stat that where 73% of PC gamers had admitted to pirating a game, so...
You clearly don't know what it's like. You've never experienced heart break. You've never experienced the ultimate disappointment. Life isn't casual.
I think you mean GotY 2011. You could be right.
Exactly. PhysX does have some impressive oomph behind it, but as long as NVIDIA insists on pimping it to their GPUs exclusively, it simply will not reach broad exposure.
All the titles that DO use it right now only gain mediocre benefits. No one really sees a reason to invest in PhysX at the moment. Havok, however, is tried and true, and does its work indiscriminately.
I'd love to see Havok step it up and run the show.
MAN I wish I had a PS3 so I could play this..
This game is great, but was in dire need of voicechat. Glad to see it's been implemented!
Well great, every EA game in 2010 will be watered down at release just so we can spend more money. GG EA.
Brain implants so players never have to disconnect?
Really? That's your comment on this story?
What number would you like? 25? 70? 140?
Seriously, I could think of a hundred reasons in which the game industry failed in 2009. But writing is about concise brevity. No one would read an article that long. Heck, most won't even read past 10.
It's how internet publications work - information in brevity. You know as well as I do that you can't hold peoples attention for much longer than that.
Sure, but Polyphony Digital's continual push of half-assed portions must be noted. Sure, the game has been delayed, and it will be released when it's done (something all of us will appreciate). But in the mean time, they release prologue. They release a time trial demo. They promo all sorts of 'not quite' versions of the game. Stop messing around with these frivolous extras and focus on completing the game!
I want this game in bad ways... and I hate MMOs.
This game could actually pull me into MMORPGs. It looks like an absolute blast to play.
PLEASE let there be a PC release for SSIV. Make it so, capcom.
simplicity is not innovation. Jobs just wants to control the experience with an iron fist. I would LOVE to see what having flash would do to these devices.
