Microsoft's Smart delivery is much more consumer friendly than Sony's decision to segment the market forcing you to buy all games again on your PS5 unless the publisher offers a free upgrade. Yeah...real nice.
Even when it's better for consumers the delusional will berate it for coming from Microsoft.
It will come down to the scalability of the MS apis and engine's in use. We need proper devs to be able to take advantage of newer hardware while allowing a paired back version be played on older hardware.
If the OG Xbox architecture was similar to later iterations it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
Xbox will be more inclusive of it's player base. Sony will not. This can affect multiplayer games.

With Sony writing checks I can see this happening, but it will be temporary just to appease Sony while a second set will be built for other platforms.
It's pretty much how we've seen Epics handling this deal and will be the only way they can make their paid for ads about SSD sauce true.
Sony investing in their infrastructure is great and I'm all for it. I'm interested in Epic and Sony's deal since the beginning as Sony began releasing it's games on PC which allowed more players to enjoy those titles without having to buy a console and forcing players into their toxic community.

I like the logo's look and maybe it could be smaller on the package, but to say we already know it runs on Series X, no, Sony fan boys can't read or understand very well so putting as much information on the packaging is beneficial for the consumer. Let's us know it will be optimized for Series X.
