It's because they don't want to make an effort to really make a superb spiderman game. All they are doing is using the spiderman name to gain quick sales because they know that fans will buy it regardless. At this rate, spiderman 2 will never be topped. Marvel needs to find another game developer/publisher that will do spiderman justice but I don't think even they care about quality(of the games at least)anymore.
