Not taking sides or defending anything here, but I need to chime in.
I see people making comments like "balancing their games like WB", which is a clear reference to Shadow of War and the end of the game that is supposedly balanced to push MT's.

So we should boycott a game that is freaking amazing and has no perceptible negative effects from having MT's, just because you are hypothesizing that in the future, it might have a negative effect?
Pardon my bluntness but that is absolutely effing Stupid.
I finished it at 80+ hours, never bought anything with real money, and had piles of cash, loot, and orcs when it ended.
I had almost every captain in all three zones plus another 50-60 in my market from silver and spoils of war loot boxes that I couldn't deploy anywhere because my armies were full.
And don't believe the crap about needing legendary orcs or needing everyone to be max level, that's BS. I still had some level 25-30 orcs in my ar...

I just finished it yesterday and there is never any incentive to buy. I was swimming in cash, loot, and orcs by the end of the game.
I don't know what the people did that were bitching about grinding at the end, but they definitely did not play the entire game like I did.
I'm a hardcore gamer and I don't because having an option there that I'm not going to use doesn't hurt me at all.
I don't believe the nonsense about the games being designed to force you to buy them because it is quite simply just not true.
I finished Shadow of War yesterday then started AC Origins. I haven't played enough of Origins to say much about it yet, but I can't imagine there will ever be any incentive for me to pay for any of this stuff.
As for Shadow of War, the people that said the game was designed to force you to buy loot boxes either didn't play the game, or they rushed though the story missions only, or they are just outright lying.

Drive 5-10 minutes to get to a mission start point, and then the first thing you have to do in the mission is drive all the way across the city again before you actually do anything.

I've been playing Shadow of War for almost 60 hours. I'm level 51 I think, and about to go into what appears to be the final mission, but I know it actually is just the transition to the final act.

I don't consider myself elite, and have had decent success playing with complete randoms.

In a couple years we won't be talking about them abandoning upgraded games for the X1X, we'll be talking about the next gen console.
Which will mean the X1X will now be the base model Xbox, and there will be a new one coming that is the new "elite" console.
Mark my words. That is the direction they are going.
