They are talking about people like me, who barely knew what Monster Hunter was, and had never played one, and now I have this game and it's hard for me to imagine it not being my favorite game of the year.
The download speed isn't the problem, the latency is the problem.
And unless you live across the street from the server farm, there is going to be noticeable latency.

Game pass has you download the games and play them from your console the same as if you bought them.

I know that you can't join a quest that is a higher "hunter rank" than what you are, maybe that was the issue?
Hunter Rank is basically just determined by your story mission progress, and the requirement will be listed in the quest details.
