I can't wait till PS Now launches and everyone sees that it isn't going to work as well as they are making it sound.

The technology behind this is amazing, no doubt, but the tiny bit of unavoidable latency inherent to the internet will make most games a sub par experience.

It would be great if it worked perfectly, but it just isn't possible.

Well said, LightofDarkness. I'm glad somebody else "gets it".

I can't fathom how people still aren't understanding this.

It's a different kind of game than CoD or Battlefield, which is what everyone is always clamoring for.

Now it's on the way and everyone is complaining because it's different than CoD or Battlefield.

It's a sad day for the future of humanity.

You guys realize this article is satire, right?

This isn't trying to be a serious article.

Look at the names of the customers quoted in the story, for christ's sake. lol

I never thought of it until just now, but all of this talk about player count and AI and calling in Titans reminds me of a shooter called Hybrid that came out on XBLA a year and a half ago.

That game was 3v3, and there were "killstreak" rewards in the forms of different sorts of robots that you call in and assist you. Killing other people's robots added to your kill count, making it slightly easier to get your own killstreak rewards.

The end re...

Yeah I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around why people are complaining about this, other than the fact that nowadays EVERYONE complains about EVERYTHING.

And everyone is a game designer that thinks they know best.

People complain about CoD and Battlefield being the same every year. People complain about other shooters emulating parts of CoD's multiplayer, etc...

Here comes a game trying to be different, and everyone is co...

What exactly are we supposed to see in that gif you referenced up above?

I am missing the point you are trying to make with that.

Please explain what that gif is supposed to be telling me about how the game works.

Thank you CrossingEden.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers all of that nonsense.

MS looks like Mother Teresa next to Sony's lies and BS hype.

Other than FPS games, I don't know why you'd be on the stick more than the face buttons.

Racing games, action games, fighting games, RPGs... The right stick is used little if at all.

DragonKnight you are missing the whole point of our side of the argument.

I realize my hands are the same.

Our point is that the controller, while it does have a stick on each side, is NOT symmetrical in terms of how it is used. If my left thumb is usually on the stick, and my right thumb is usually on the buttons, then your symmetry argument actually supports offset sticks, NOT a Dualshock layout.

It's not about your hands being the s...

That "symmetrical hands" argument makes no sense. It never has.

Your hands aren't both necessarily doing the same thing at any given time. If you average out all different genres of games, chances are your left thumb is spending 95% of it's time at the left stick.

The right thumb position varies a lot more by game type, but with the exception of shooters it probably spends quite a bit more time on the buttons than the stick.

If you could swap the battery out for a fresh one, you wouldn't need any of this stuff.

That's why I love the separate battery packs for the Xbox controllers.

They aren't the same thing if they behave differently.

"Bots" run around the map and attempt to play like a real player.

These "AI" are not like the Titan pilots that you play as, and aren't going to just run around willy nilly trying to make you think they are a human. They are going to fulfill specific roles. Like taking defensive positions around an objective, for instance.

At a barebones minimum definition of...

No reason to believe the sequel will change much.

Gears of war went from 4v4 to 5v5, but never higher.

4543d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

The reason people are disagreeing about cross-gen being a reason for this are disagreeing because that is stupid nonsense. The machine running it has nothing to do with the player count. It's a design choice.

The Last of Us multiplayer was what, 4v4? 5v5? I can't remember. Battlefield 3 on the PS3 was 16v16, right? They were on the same console, why weren't they the same?

4543d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

DanielGearSolid, if lowering the player count isn't doing anything different, then why are people complaining about it being different than other games? lol

Think about what you just said.

The very fact that it is DIFFERENT is what is causing this entire discussion.

4543d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

I think you are missing the point of what the AI can or will do in a match.

First off they are regular soldiers, not mech pilots. Second, they are going to fill specific roles, not just be running around the map randomly like the traditional concept of a "Bot".

I know right?

It's unbelievable.

I guess Left 4 Dead sucks because it didn't have 32 on 32 matches, right?

I hate people. I really really do. lol

My god you people.... smh

Everyone thinks they are a game designer now, and that they know better than the actual game designers, don't they?

What is this world coming to?

What are you trying to prove with that terribly photoshopped sales graph?

Christ. He probably has a couple meetings to go to. lol

Why does anyone think this means anything to us?

He tweets about food sometimes, too, should we assume that means they are announcing a food based game?
