In the options, I switched to "Type A" to emulate the controls of RE4, because with RE4, I had no problem with controls whatsoever. That made it a little easier for me, but the camera is sh!t. Just try using the right analog stick...
In RE4, the camera wasn't so close to Leon. It was pretty much perfect. With RE5 however, either Chris is too damn big, or the camera is too close. I'll go with the latter.
I have loved the RE series since May 96 when it was re...
I gotta join in and say that as much as I loved RE 1 and 2, I loved Nemesis even more than those two. It had a lot of action, had suspense, zombies, preserved the survival horror concept, and was about 10 hours long.
I just tried the RE5 demo...it's more of the same as RE4 as previously stated, but it seems as if the controls are more cumbersome. However, I thought RE4 was a great, great game, so to me, RE5 doesn't seem so bad besides control issues.
I just downloaded and played the demo on the PS3. The screenshots posted on that crap website to represent the PS3 version are bullsh!t. The PS3 version has just as much detail as in the 360 screenshots.
The "forehead" textures as some have stated that looked bad in those screenshots, are no where to be found in the actual demo I'm playing.
The game looks really sharp, and I have a 720p tv.
I got a Dual Shock 3 yesterday for $41.00 including tax. That wasn't too bad.
Mine also came out to the same price! Can't wait for this game!
Oh and the code is "KZ2SAVE5"
I reserved mine on amazon. My cheap ass got the free shipping though LOL. Oh well, by the time I get the game, I will have been laid off so this will be a consolation to me!
edit: Oh yeah I forgot to add that if you reserve Killzone 2 on amazon.com, insert this code for $5.00 off. "KZ2SAVE5" Plus, when you reserve at amazon, you're supposed to get some code for downloadable content in Home. I think it's apparel for your character.
LMFAO! Hahahah I literally laughed out loud! Brilliant comment. +1 bubbles
360 has 5 exclusives in 2009???
Kidding aside, the only game that piqued my interest from that list was Alan Wake. It seemed interesting when it was first revealed...but it's been a couple of years now and still no info or anything.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Should Gran Turismo 5 be ready by the summer, right around launch time, they could drop the price of the PS3 (I live in U.S. but Europe should get a price cut as well). Sales would be CRAZY! Not just because GT5 is launching, but the price of the system would be cheaper. Potential Blu-Ray buyers, gamers, GT5 fans, everybody would jump on the PS3 train. Either way, I see a price cut in the summer. Maybe it'll be $50 bucks, then in the fall, they would drop ...
I agree with everything you posted. You hit the nail on the head.
Microsoft doesn't know that a console war is like a marathon. You don't sprint in the beginning because you'll be out of breath half way (we're at the half way point right now...well for MS), and then you leave yourself open to be passed up. Sure you get a nice lead, but when your out of energy, then what?
Sony on the other hand, is jogging at a nice pace. Not slow or fast. Spectators are saying that t...
Even though reviews don't really affect whether or not I'll purchase a game, it's good to see that Guerrilla Games is (so far) getting the accolades it deserves.
Killzone 2 is a day 0 purchase! lol

This has become one of the most corrupt console generations ever.
You have companies shelling out money to either inflate or deflate reviews by influencing the reviewer (journalist), buying game/demo exclusivity, omitting content that should have been on the retail disc to sell as DLC, third party devs screwing one console to please another, shipping buggy games so they can be "patched" at a later time, hardware being released that should have been recalled because of t...
Xbox 360 pwnage has changed...

was that a School Ties reference?
Too bad I'm in the process of selling my 360, or I'd pick up NG2.
I completely agree with you.
For me, I never saw PC as a direct competitor to consoles. They are totally different. There are constant upgrades being released for PC's to upgrade memory, graphics cards, processors etc. Consoles are stuck with the same specs for about 5 years. They are basically 2 different branches under the Gaming tree, so for me, I would always compare consoles to consoles.
However, what GG has accomplished with Killzone 2 is phenomenal and the fac...
it's a great time to be PS3 owner. We'll be able to enjoy multi-platform games in addition to numerous exclusives. A lot of my peers and their families are jumping on the PS3 train.
Unfortunately for 360 owners, the only "big" exclusives (that have been announced so far) for 2009 are the 2 Halo games and Alan Wake.
I can pretty much bet anything that Gears 3 will be released in 2010. It follows MS's strategy this generation of: Halo one year, Gears the nex...
I picked up Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction for the PS3 last week for $14.99 new! I was shocked when I saw the price. Thanks Target! I'll be back to pick up Fallout 3.
LOL...yeah I'm going to chose to revisit more of the mediocrity that is GTA4 over one of the most wanted games ever. Add to that Killzone 2 has the best graphics we've ever seen... yeah GTA DLC FTW
There is absolutely no competition, Killzone 2 all the way!
Metacritic should be abolished.
I've never used that site (or any other) to dictate what games I should buy. Especially based off of an "average" score from questionable review sites.
I just read reviews to give me a heads up. Shoot I've bought games that haven't been rated very well, but guess what? I enjoyed them and that's all that matters.
I feel exactly the same. I absolutely do not want to rush through this game. As a matter of fact, I will play it on the hardest difficulty there is! I'll get my ass handed to me, but hey, it's good training!
I simply cannot wait.
p.s. Killzone deserves all the accolades it's been receiving and now it's a confirmed million seller!
