I hate the idea of these middle generation upgrades and I don't know why there's so much excitement over them. My understanding was that console gamers hated this sort of thing and liked having 5 year consoles before having an upgrade. Hope this doesn't become a trend.

I could absolutely see the original PS4 versions of games suffering or the new PS4 getting extra goodies down the road.
And your point about PC is one reason why I haven't switched over. I like that everyone who owns a PS4 has the same PS4 and the games all run the same. I don't want consoles to split and have some having better performing games. That's PC, and if that's the future of consoles then I may as well just go over to PC.

If it's the future then consoles lose one of the great things about them and I'm done with them. I've been wanting to get a good gaming PC to have along with my consoles, but this gives me reason to just go with PC. Really hate this idea.
I think the PS+ games have become pretty poor with the PS4. Used to get so many big great games on PS3. Come on Sony, there's plenty of older bigger games you can offer now.

One of the great things about consoles is everyone has the same and you don't have to worry about this stuff. If this starts happening then I'll consider just moving over to PC then.

Console gamers have always been against both. It's one of the main things that's always used as a positive compared to PC. Not having to worry about all that and knowing that it's level for everyone and that your console will be good the way it is for 5 or more years is why so many like consoles...

I don't consider it "bullying". It's not like school. The person can't hurt you or see you. You don't have to respond to the person, you don't even have to listen to the person and can mute them. And after the match is over you'll most likely never hear from the person again.

People seem to be acting like every online match is just full of horrible people. I rarely encounter truly awful people in games. I play CoD quite a lot and I just don't see that much of it. It's only from time to time.
Sounds like it to me. I agree with nottfadeaway. There's a mute button for a reason. Use it. Much easier than removing chat.
If someone being an idiot and saying stupid stuff can cause some "serious mental issues" for some then that person had issues to start with I think. It's not like bullying. You can mute the person and after the match ends you'll likely never hear from that person again. People really need to toughen up a bit.
There should be no restrictions and people don't need protecting when it comes to voice chat. Give me a break. Talking crap is part of the online experience (I don't do it though as I'm a quiet gamer). If you don't like what someone is saying then MUTE them. It's what it's there for. Either that or toughen up and give it back. Much easier and better than having restrictions.
I pretty much disagree with every point made. I'm a big Uncharted fan and I love the multiplayer too. But one thing that annoys me a little about many Uncharted fans is it seems you're not allowed to criticise it and some become so defensive. Uncharted 4 is amazing but it's not perfect.
