Oh, man. I laughed when he said that. Microsoft deserved it, and Sony was just reminding everyone that they've stuck by their console, and got everything right from the beginning. It's just a little jab. They are competing against each other.
If Microsoft did it to Sony, you Xbox fanboys would have loved it.
Couldn't disagree more. In no way did Microsoft win. What did they announce? Fifa free with pre-orders in Europe, Fable and some exclusive content for The Division. Can't remember what else.
Sony's was much better. Not as good I was hoping but still good. Yeah, it would have been nice to see more of The Order and an Uncharted 4 reveal but we still got a lot.
Some things:
PS Vita price drop
Assassin's Creed 3 free for P...
Lol, no. Microsoft's conference was pretty poor. Sony's could have been better but it was still good, and a hell of a lot better than Microsoft's.
It's 14 days. How's that getting "shafted"?The swipe at MS was hilarious. They're competing against each other.
Is 14 days really a big deal? I think trying to launch in 32 countries in the same week would be hard.
Where are you getting 2014 for Australia? The EB games site here has it as releasing 29th of November.
No, Microsoft's Gamescom was not very good, IMO. There was nothing big or exciting announced. Again, my opinion.
I don't really have a problem with it. If Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo want to try and secure their fans extra content for third party games, what's wrong with that? And I think it helps sway some people to their console. Especially if a lot of games have exclusive content on that system. I'm interested to see the exclusive content in Assassin's Creed on PS4 with Aveline.
Damn, now I don't know whether to cancel my pre-order and wait and see if it comes to PS4.
While people complained about it, including me, I almost think they would have looked better if they had just stuck to their guns and proved to everyone that they had it right. All these changes are getting ridiculous and makes them look weak and makes it look like they have no confidence in their product. I guess they're damned if they do and damned if they don't.
If they had done this from the beginning, they wouldn't be in this situation.
It has no identity. The console they're selling now is not the console they announced. Seems like the have no confidence or faith in it. People might say it's a good move, but it does show weakness. It does show a lack of confidence. They said X1 could not function without Kinect, now all of a sudden it can. Just like they said they couldn't flip a switch with the DRM. And yes, it is a big fall for them. It has been horrible for Microsoft since their reveal.
Why a...
And how much of that is generated from crap like FarmVille and MMOs? A lot.
It makes me so angry seeing some Xbox fans defending Microsoft putting everything behind a pay wall or saying "it doesn't matter". There is no excuse what so ever for putting things like Netfix and other third party paid services, free-to-play games and pretty much every other feature behind a pay wall.
Believe it or not but not everyone wants to play multiplayer. Yes, that's right. There are plenty of people out there that either don't have much interes...
But a lot of people want the X1 but don't want Kinect. Requiring it is stupid, IMO.
I was thinking of getting a Vita in September, but I might wait and see if they do release a PS4/Vita bundle. Would buy it if it's a good price.
For me, it's The Last of Us. Love Uncharted 2 as well. But the generation isn't even over yet, lol.
I hope this isn't true.
Would be good to have those back on PS.
Ahh, I remember that. I loved that game. Yes, yes, yes. Please.
I'd like to see The Getaway, Siren, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Demon's Souls and others.
I think the Vita and memory card cuts are good. They have all been cut by a decent amount, and I'm sure they'll continue to drop. And you'll probably start to see the Vita bundles at even lower prices now.
