People bitch and moan for more powerful hardware and then Sony delivered exactly on the rumored specs that were going around for 6+ months - at a great price I might add. So now because it does not meet the Scorpio vaporware 6TF specs we are now suppose to believe that PlayStation will stop selling and everybody will jump to NX - a lower powered system with absolutely no 3rd party support - at least historically.
So since these so called "journalists" seem to thin...
The answer is simple ... Marketing wants to build hype despite the time frame the developers indicate will be needed to accomplish said hype. I develop software for a living (not games) and Marketing only hears what they want to hear.

PC is awesome with its freedom of hardware, free online, etc. BUT PS4 has some great exclusives that I can't play on PC which is why I have core i7/ Geforce 1070 combo and will be getting a PS4 Pro. I want the best versions of all games I play. This is the best combination FOR ME and MY TASTES.

Sony and Microsoft should just adopt the Steam refund policy - Any reason within 14 days as long as less than 2 hours have been played. Seems fair to me. Afterall. it's not like they have to repackage a physical copy to resell - it's digital.
Yeah - the PS3 was only 8 million behind though last gen and it took the whole gen for Sony to catch up. This gen Microsoft is behind 20 million so no it's not possible for Microsoft to catchup.
Curious how this looks on PC or NEO for that matter. It seems the PC/NEO will iron out any technical issues. I can't wait to play this.
Well, it's for the hardcore gamer who typically will pay more for cutting edge tech (cutting edge in the console space anyway). I say $599. $499 would be great though.

LG is not known in general for the best up scalers but the OLED models are so good I'm sure it will be better than a $300 console. Besides you will have OLED - the absolute best screen technology on the market. Enjoy.
If your TV upscales to 4K then no ... you do not need your console to upscale to 4K.
HOWEVER, you will want the device (TV or Console) that upscales the best to do the upscaling. For example, Sony is widely regarded as having the best 4K scalers (X1 Reality Pro chip) in their TVs which are superb at 4K scaling from lower resolution (I.e. games at 1080P). I tried PSVR this weekend at a local Best Buy and I was blown away. I played Battle Zone and it was incredible. After a few minutes of playing I completely forgot I was in a store sitting in a chair! I was completely immersed in the game world.
I can't wait until this releases.

Well that's your opinion and you are in the minority there.
Most believe Sony had the best showing. Plus Sony has already dropped a few megaton games throughout the year. Microsoft not much so far. Great stuff is coming for sure but Sony generated the most game hype for the coming year and beyond - which is what E3 is suppose to do.
Just my opinion but I respect yours too.
The truth is, we as gamers are the true winners.
Just make the character fit with the theme of the game Male/Female whatever. Just don't try to tick all the SJW boxes for the sake of doing so. Be creative and true to the vision of Mass Effect - that is let us choose.

Zelda, Gears, FH3, Dead Rising, God of War. Last Gauradian, Days Gone, Spiderman ... the list goes on and on. Great collection of games coming this year and next.
Not to mention more powerful consoles on the horizon too. Great time to be a gamer as long as your wallet can hold out that is :)
