Well, could be worse, no BC on 40gb. I don't mind since I own a slim but I don't have it with me. So, no KH or Persona 4 for me till I go back for the break.
You can't keep comparing FFVII to this gen. Back then, CD on a console was a huge change from cartridge. The reason why Square soft moved from nintendo to sony was because the CD offer so much more space than the cartridge.
Comparing FFVII's multiple disc is like comparing to multiple blurays for this gen. Last gen would be multiple DVDs.
2 on the PS2 is different than 3 on the 360. On the PS2, the PS2 can only pump out so many textures and can only do so much with graphic. Developers would not have to use up that many space on graphic and therefore would require less space than it would be on the 360.
For the PS2, assuming both disc are at 8.5 GB. We are looking at 17 Gb of stuff for something probably like 1/2 of the 360's power. 3 disc on the 360 is 25.5 GB of stuff and you know that each disc has to be filled ...
You need the disc to load the game.
Ahhh, I see, thanks for the clear up. +Bubble
Wait, Atari is publishing Tekken 6?
That's ages ago, 2 generations. The equivalent of 3 CD is like putting a game on 3 bluray for this generation.
People can have large TV and play from a distance. I try to avoid having my face bury in front of the screen. But I only have a 19 inch screen so I would be close. But what if Jack here has a 46+. he could be playing at least 7 feet away. You got to get up from the couch, walk over, eject, take out the first disc, put the disc back in, take out the second disc, walk back. That's about 20 seconds right there.
I believe it's free.
I only buy new here also but I hate selling. With tuition raise from budget cuts(off topic: Stupid NY governor), I no longer can afford to pay for new titles. So I'm probably going to sell the games I don't and probably will not play with anymore. I rather wait for games to hit bargain bin before I buy a use (unless it's rare)
Maybe Verizon can kick off DD.
I see that likely, I mean after all Kojima is a bit of a Apple fanboy. We have a Macbook and iPod in MGS4. There is a high possibility that Konami brings MGS4 into an actual iPod.
He might not be able to do everything right but I'm sure glad he made the decision to pick up GhostBusters.
I hope so, I enjoyed Ac!d 2. Never played the first one, but I found the second one to be quite fun. Different from MGS but worth trying.
I really hope that secret ending will happen on Dec 12. It would be the best thing ever even if it shows Snake's death.
I remember a while back, Kojima said in an interview he doesn't want to do remakes. Well, if anything it could be that MGS4 Existence version.
I agree, aside from speculating from what this next metal gear game is, I thought Kojima is done with the Metal Gear series and wants to move to new titles.
I think it's a portable title, they already have MGS on Verizon phones. I say DSi or PSP are the two most likely possible.
OR
it could be one of those substance/subsistence/existenc e? version for MGS4 on PS3.
The lesson is never trust fishy third party products.
Yeah, but I got the wireless 360 controller before I got a PS3 and it was free. I use my Dualshock 3 for PC gaming every now and then. It's annoying sometimes only because I have to run the applications again to get it to work. And I like rumble, but I prefer the rumble on PS3 especially in MGS4. I can tell if any enemy is near through rumble.
If you know about the current PS3 sales, it's not far off from 360. The PS3 will continue to grow in sales. The 360 may have high attach rate but so far Ubisoft, Konami and EA reported earning more money on the PS3. So, they are not making less on sales. This makes your argument invalid
