as for me... my laptop can handle it 8) i'd have rather played it on Ps3, coz i doubt my laptop will be able to handle it at max.. but you can't have everything :( owell laptop will do fine :)
this looks like CoD4.5 or w/e.. seriously.. from what i saw in this vid, its just CoD4.5 with a different storyline and more 'bbgun sound like' guns.. seriously that gun the guy is holding is just popping not shooting.. might be wrong, but there is not much of an improvement in this game compared to CoD4.. ill be sticking onto CoD4 till CoD6 comes out..
believe it or not, but they wouldn't give a sh*t if you like their games or not lol.. as long as you buy them... and they don't work hard for you, they work hard for them selves lol
which is defo sad to me.. i was REALLY hyped about GTA IV (you might wanna check my comments on N4G at the time of GTA IV's release :) ) but after finishing the story, i got bored of it.. the story line, graphics and physics are awesome.. but the rest has suffered compared to GTA:SA (SA best GTA so far imo) , GTA:VC and GTA3.. i would blame the 360 for limited, but GTA:SA could do (minus the graphics mind you).. but i doubt that it was because the 360.. man... i wonder what happened !!

PS3 may be selling good... it's only a matter of time before it won't sell any more at that price... if there is a price cut, it will only sell more ps3's not less.. but i guess Sony's finance guys are better at this than me !1! but on the other hand, as crippleH said, the stock market is in chaos.. Sony can't afford a price cut at this time.. Microsoft may have been able to with their big stacks of money, but Sony has a bigger problem than MS if it comes to the console price..

@1.2.. while i agree, you dont have to be a parent to understand some things, its the parents fault for letting the kid buy the game in the first place (i recall that he was 15 right?) while the game is most likely to blame, the parents are just as much to blame..
WINE can be installed on any architecture (i installed it on Ubuntu 64bit, but removed ubuntu 64bit coz wine programs didn't run lol), but WINE is programmed to work with x86 files.. so you wont be able to run anything else than x86.. unless like AuToFiRE side, you can 'rewrite' to work with PPC or w/e other architecture.. but good luck doing that, the WINE team has been developing WINE for more than 15 years now (i think 16, not sure tho) so good luck rewriting it to make it work with PPC pr...
using linux, unless you have ps3 firmware 2.01 (not sure but its either 2.00, 2.01 or 2.10) you cannot run games that need decent graphics cards coz only the previous mentioned firmware has drivers for the PS3's GPU..
and WINE stands for Windows Is Not an Emulator and as it says its NOT an emulator, but a windows application layer.. basically it can run Windows DLL files inside linux WITHOUT having windows installed.. these DLL files in turn allow you to run windows programs WITH...

Windows 7 looks like what Vista should have been.. so i dunno if its gonna disappoint.. it might do, but imo it has a bigger chance that it wont disappoint
it may be an IBM CPU.. but it works on a 128-bit architecture.. and Windows may have a 64-bit version, but many, MANY applications don't run on 64-bit version... let alone that there is NO WAY for the kernel to run on a 128-bit CPU (unless of course its re-engineered, and recompile and all)..

lol linux has always been superior to Windows in most, if not all, ways.. the only thing that doesn't make people use Linux is because of the limited application support, but eventually companies have to support linux coz of the increasing market share of linux :)

while i agree with that, i have to say that it blows any game out of the water except CoD4.. which imo is still better than the R2 beta.. now i haven't played the full game obv.. but maybe that'll change my mind!! but then again, i think its a very very very very VERY big achievement to have come second best FPS !! congrats on yet another wonderful game Ted!! you deserve all the profit you're gonna make of this game :)
actually i thought that looked pretty good.. tho they should make the icons smaller and the taskbar smaller as well.. while keeping the Windows Orb the same size.. so that it will come out of the taskbar like vista's does..
its got fail written all over it in this built, but its only an alpha.. we'll see
