i used home for the first time 2day :) i loves it!!

i know quite a lot about pc hardware.. i can do it with my eyes closed .. but if i'd ask a classmate (IT course) he wouldn't know where to start lol
make the RSX a directx compatible device as much as you want.. you still wont be able to let it render dx graphics through the ps3.. sony simply wouldn't be allowed coz of MS :P

lol directx? you do know that directx is only used in MS products.. you would be talking about openGL lol not directx

is loading when its you're going into a room.. they shud do what Rockstar did with GTA IV.. no matter where you go it doesn't load, even if it is a new room..

javascript and html will get you very far these days.. and many people know both.. and even more know HTML these days.. and many programs use javascript and html to create a theme lol.. so i cant see why ps3 can't use the browsers rendering engine to render a theme .. for the javascript they'd have to make a new engine lol.. but the html renderer shud do fine..
remember some people have created a WHOLE OS (ok nearly a whole OS lol) inside a browser using JavaScript and HTML, and ...
lol Ted (Home community manager) has said in a post on the forums that home will here BEFORE xmas.. and last time i checked.. Christmas was on the 25th lol.. so expect to not have a christmas coz of Home :)

not the GPU's processing power.. the only difference now is that it essentially can use 512 MB of ram + CELL instead of 256MB ram + CELL.. Linux can only use limited GPU power of PS3.. to run 3D stuff you'll need full GPU access..
