Without reading the article, my guess would be "because its so damn good"
I havent had a single problem with Steams streaming and its very simple to setup, just make sure the two machines are in the same network. On the other hand I have not had any luck with PS4 remote play + PS tv... I can do "main PC" ->ethernet-> router -> wireless -> laptop 5 meters away with Steam and it has barely ANY latency issues. PS4 + TV need to be either all wired,...
I didnt even mention PS4...
wicked was either being slightly a fanboy or just joking. To his comment I said "well the cloud isnt exactly that usefull" if we are talking about a game Techland said couldnt be realized properly on the current gen consoles. Only if the CPU capabilities are holding the sequel back because they have some crazy AI in mind or physics wise very realistic enviroments, cloud could be usefull.
If its anything else (game code or...
Its only going to help with some very specific stuff but you got a small point. Cloud will never be extremely usefull when it comes to game graphics and code running partially on the cloud because of the latency but stuff like destruction and AI can be done on the cloud without some 200ms latency getting in the way.
Its fine if they hold it out for next gen because zombie games are still very common currently. Give it a slight rest and its going to feel refreshing.
It might be shitty to say but I think piratism of some older games can also be important. Retro games are mostly a luxury or a hobby but can also be expensive. What keeps the memory of old games alive? Either the publisher re-releases the old game on modern platform which we know is pretty impossible for majority of the games, or we pirate them. PS4 doesnt even have PS1 classics.
I always prefer to have my games physical which is why I pirate ANYTHING extremely rarely but it ...
I should probably play the game some more considering I still have it... Whi knows if my PS4 is going to just give up some day.
I didnt play it that much because it was pretty cryptic and I couldnt make any sense of how to progress. Now theres a bunch of guides in case I need any help with the game.
Oh yes, saw a little lets play about this yesterday...
I would want options for uncompressed screenshots and the option to record straight to an external HDD. I have one 500 gig USB2 one sitting all empty, even made a 100 gig partion in ExFAT format for the PS4 for faster file transfer but it doesnt like to work with it.
Note that all my USB sticks in ExFAT work perfectly. I have seen some people claim you can already use external HDDs as image/video storage but I sure havent seen much info about that.
You forgot the hidden potential behind the design of the console.
A cable reel.
Hold on... they released gameplay LAST YEAR?!?
I had no idea. Only ever saw that cinematic reveal trailer.
I need another Tombi game in my life.
Ty 4 or even a collection would be sweet too (and yeah, I have been checking Ty's facebook page with the possible collection pic included)
A new Spyro game with new style while still being familiar to old fans. Even new Crash could be sweet.
Sounds great.
I remember like, 5-6 years ago reading from a tech magazine that the future is in these "low-level" APIs and at the time it sounded crazy good but the magazine said that the big tech companies would not like that so much. I dont remember what was the reason for that though.
Now basicly every major platform and such has a low-level API (or in the works). This future feels good.
Seriously, if they ever make a DeS remaster, they pretty much have to add the last archstone because like over 2/3rds of the remaster requests I see mention that.
Demons Souls would make a great remaster with some extra enhancements and fixes.
Just my two cents

Proper PS2 emulation requires more like 10x the hardware power and PS2s CPU cannot just be looked as a single core 200-300MHz cpu. PS4 would be strugling because it doesnt have high performance per one CPU core. Try to run PCSX2 with a ultrabook laptop sportting a quad 1.6 Ghz processor and you are probably able to play only a fraction of the PS2 games.
Its also unlikely that Sony could do much better work than ...
Ghost Recon has always been fun. I remember playing the PC demo of the first game for the first time and although it was hard (because I didnt really have a grasp about the "realistic" games back then) and my patience was a fraction of what it is now, it was a memorable experience.
Only recently I have been realty getting into the gamesand got GRAW2 for a quick playthrough, it was okay. More recently I picked the original one and Jungle Storm for the PS2.
...
Aww damn. Well, at least they said it out loud. Heres hoping then that the game does really well.
Then again, I would argue they are also more durable.
Sure they get scratched and bend but guess what happens to plastic case if applied too much force? They break and plastic being the softer material, would probably get scratched more easily.
I dont have much experiences with steelbooks considering I only have 2 but my first one doesnt have a single mark, the second one (that I bought second hand) has scratches like every other second hand game I have seen ...
I bought Murdered: Soul Suspect like at the end of last year for 20€, played a while, havent touched since.
I WILL finish the game though, I just have so many other (to me) more interesting games to finish first.
I think photo mode is awesome idea, even the lesser ones like Far Cry 4's where you use your camera (item) and can remove the hud for good images.
Too bad the images are compressed... I noticed it after trying to pick my new desktop wallpaper from my FC4 shots and realized some were just AWFULLY blurry (probably partly game specific because KZ Shadow Fall images were okay).
Lol, this game.
So is it free? Prooobably should try it.
