It helps when you consistently make chart-topping games... which has been the case in almost all Final Fantasy installments, even getting the honor of having the #1 game ever created and another within the top five.

To clarify: Reputation + Quality = Brand Name

"Figures for Genji and SEGA Golf Club, the two other launch titles, were not provided." - Enterbrain

Sooo... why compile a figure if you are NOT including ALL of the launch games?

Reporting like this is ridiculous, how can people even think that is credible? Even if those games sold like crap it would still boost the average to just over one game per console.

Jeese people. Read the ENTIRE story and not just some tiny blurb from another journa...

The same could be said of the 360, just not AS expensive. Also, potential customers are every being on Earth, so those potential sales may increase as well.

If this is the popular theory that people will not buy consoles above $300 then the Wii is going to have one hell of a Christmas.

Go, Wii, Go!!!

Yeah, definitely a game I would rent, demo, or play at a friend's house before deciding if I want to purchase my own copy.

lol why would you come and disagree with what I said in the post above? In case you didn't know... the majority of ALL major news outlets produce articles with "half-truths" in order to control what the public believes. Don't believe me? Do some research on CNN and FOX news, they are the most blatantly biased news sources around.

So again, why would you disagree with my above comment if even the most popular and highly-respected news sources do the exact same thing fo...

Is it just me or did the actual gameplay footage look a hell of a lot better than the first part of the movie?

This game came a long way from what we originally saw, but judging by that trailer it didn't hit the mark I thought it would. I am still curious as to how it plays and looks while it plays, like I said earlier, the gameplay graphics looked a lot better than the first part of the movie.

If it is anything like Gauntlet Legends then it will be crazy fun for...

Microsoft has the most advertisement of all of the consoles. It is an unfair statement because they have been out for much longer, but their battle isn't getting the word out there anymore. Microsoft now has to keep people interested in their product or raise interest in it.

power of green II,
What if the news you are reading is already twisting facts to display something that isn't necessarily true or false, but a half-truth? That is the essence/beginning of most debates on this website... shoddy and half-assed journalism.

Also, they said that two games had not been taken into account. That could boost that figure a bit. I couldn't see people buying a console without buying a game along with it (maybe they just wanted a souped up PS2 though haha).

Yeah no joke. The only thing that worries me is the space it consumes when you are recording and the ease of deleting that information without affecting gameplay. Kinda sucks when you record a crapload of video that isn't a great take and you run out of room.

And release Twilight Princess on the Wii.

They should be kicked in the throat for making us wait that long and then screwing us in the end.

7027d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I have a feeling that 98% of all people wouldn't even understand the information if they released it. This isn't a big deal to most people, they just want their games.

Eh, he rarely says anything worth a hoot. I wouldn't take it personally. (He seems to defend the 360 anyway).

Right, Paul? =)

Note: The previous message was intended to be as sarcastic as possible (more sarcastic than Paul's post). Any person(s) who take offense to this message need to be taken out back and beat across the face with a 2" x 4" (or a tire iron, whichever is more convenient). Or they need to grow a funny bone and sense of humor. =)

Yes, because everyone buys their unit on launch or within the first few shipments and not through the entire duration of it's lifetime. /boggle

Did you seriously just write that, man? Although I am extremely curious as to where you got that exact figure of pre-orders still logged in the entire world. Must have been some damn good research on your part.

PS3 sell-out was common-sense. Anyone who doubted it didn't really take into consideration the sheer volume of t...

For the record, I didn't read DJ's post or your first post and sense any negative emotions. I think you kind of got offended by his rebuttal and honestly he has a legitimate claim; both of you do.

I personally only bought one PS2 and the only reason it died was because it got sprayed with de-icer at the Denver airport. One of my friends has owned two and another used to buy them for parts and make perfect working ones for cheap, so yeah tons of people have had to buy more than ...
