"crysis3 uses texture streaming and as far as I and all pc gamers know the Cryengine is GPU intensive. If texture streaming required a top range Gpu than Gta SA,Just Cause and black which had a lot going on screen and huge draw distances would have not being possible in the previous generation."
Don't get me wrong I do appreciate the points within your comments but on the flip side if the GPU did not matter then why bother with a next generation? why not just keep increa...
Is your name Pacther by any chance?
He uses flares in the dark also so it must be true.
Iv'e seen the videos and it looks fantastic.
"Blu ray(likely 100 to 200GB games updated through firmware"
But why would they need that much space? think about it, having that much space is not going to make the PS3 that much more of a graphics powerhouse, and do you really want to play a game that is just made that size to give you a game length that you are really not that bothered about? fair enough if the hardware matches the disk space then it is needed, but we do not need that much space this gen, what are we...
Bluray and 3D could be seen as a big plus but HD movies for example are not tied to disk media, more and more HD is becoming more widespread without the need for Bluray, Sky is launching their own 3D service, 3d gaming I will give Sony that as it would seem that 120hz is required, but from a graphics point of view I do not see how much better the PS3 can get, we already know it will never reach maxed out PC levels of Crysis 1, I actually look forward to seeing KZ2 just to see how good it can ...
Cheers for the screen captures.
Not sure that is avoidable, Heavyrain was the same, I guess when somthing is this interactive it is harder to avoid.
I managed to capture the flash of the old women but it will not upload.
Was that in the cabin? yes I saw that, and Alice seemed to shout Alan as though she was already lost, almost like she was calling from far away even though she was there in front of him, can't wait, I usually rent these days but this is a buy.
Do you need medication or somthing?
long live remedy....
Did that sound like spam?
come back when there are some fresh news screens at 720p.
regards how this whole fanboy war started, firstly like you said it started a long time ago, but regards this generation I recall Phil Harrison's comments "next gen starts when we say so" followed by a console launch price that only a select group of individuals could afford, in essence I think they shut out a lot of the core gamers who were keen to purchase their console, so yes I agree with those who recall the hate brigade when the PS3 launched but I think more than anything peop...
It requires a special licence to buy games that you intend to rent out, and they cost more.
I don't know about a kid playing it but this kid started boxing at age 5 and would likley kick some of our asses lol
"ps. the talon stands for talented "
Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound when you say that, please don't use it as a chat up line.
"PS3 IS THE FUTURE AND THE FUTURE IS PS3"
Quit with the corny lines.
Argue all you want but for some time now since both the PS3 and the 360 have gone into full throttle I have been asking myself how are these consoles with ther small amounts of RAM producing games that look like this, wake up people GOW3, UC2, Halo Reach, Alan Wake etc etc are a reality, they are here and they are running on consoles, you would be a fool to try and fool anyone into thinking this is not impressive, and if you do try to fool them then you are supporting the theory that PC gamer...
didn't the PS2 sell somthing like 150m? or 120m? I agree it does seem odd that that the newer consoles are on there, yet we see gamecube and no PS1 or PS2, and what about the original Xbox.
"Remedy is currently developing Alan WAKE, a psychological action thriller for the next generation of consoles and PC".
This is the only reference that I can find that confused the users of that forum, here is a better quote:
