The sales of both consoles will even out, the Hi-def war will not determined by the console war because prices of HD hardware are coming down all the time so it will stop being a Xbox-360/PS3 issue.
The games on the PS3 at the begining are rubbish, I talk mainly about the multiformat and the not the exclusives, Ratchet and clank and uncharted are my type of games so as a Xbox-360 owner if I was going to buy a PS3 then they would influence that.

I hope the gameplay is up to scratch, COD4 does not have better character animation but the enviroments look much better, it's too dark right now, I hope there is more variation with the enviroments.
This game looks less impressive since COD4 came out, but I must say I have always liked the character animations, I am just not struck on the environments.

I can't wait for the new update, connections are improving all the time, when the service starts in the UK I will be a big supporter, I choice not to buy a HD-DVD add and Blu-ray because the format war is a big headache to the consumer, I support downloads, why should I buy hardware if there is a chance it will become obsolete, I would buy hardware but not until this BS between Blu-ray and HD-DVD is sorted ut.

Ofcourse not, i am on my second, all I am saying is that despite the RROD most Xbox-360 owners are happy, 1. because they fix it and 2. because the games and the service rock.

that I may never buy a PS3, all my friends have got used to the quality of Xbox-Live and the games; if I owned a PS3 right now I would feel like I was buying a console that was always being beta tested, I feel for you guys I really do; I am on my second Xbox-360 due to the hardware issues that they have had but the overall service is so good it has been worth the hassle.
Xbox-live is a fantastic service, once the movie downloads are available in the UK my Sky subscription is done; and that will save me £27.00 per month.
just buy a xbox-360 for the multiplatforms and play the AAA PS3 games when they are released.

I can't tell by this cam video, however I have never doubted that it would be possible to at least get close to Crysis on a console, you cannot compare Killzone 2 because it is a much darker game. I used to run Tomb Raider on a 133mhz PC with 16mb Ram, I remember when the 1st gig PC came out and it was supposed to do anything; my point is that if you went back 5 years and told people that you would have consoles with triple cores running at 3.2gb then you would not doubt it would run somthing...

If the roles were reversed Sony fanboys would be laughing there ass off at how bad the Xbox-360 was selling, but the truth is that it is the PS3 that is strugling not the Xbox-360.
The PS3 is obviously all hype, there are a few good games e.g. drakes, but these only occur when they are exclusive to the one platform, PS3 owners are being used as guinea pigs, you pay top dollar for a console that has no desent dev tools hense poor multiplatform, and why put a state of the art Cell Processor into the PS3 and then leave it without a sufficient amount of RAM.

But the point is that Xbox-360 does not need it, but if we were to get legitimate HD content for download then I expect it would be great quailty output, my concern is that all adding DIVX does is create a load of pirated DVD's.

the more I think downloading movies from Xbox-live will be the way to go forward, the HDDVD/Bluray battle is a joke, consumers are suffering because we are being forced to make a choice, and now DIVX, DIVX is a great movie player but you can copy onto a normal DVD, it's a pirates paradise.
