AFAIK, PC has mostly next gen or beyond graphics bar mods.
Core gameplay elements are mostly defined by consoles.. kinda like building from the lower common denominators.

Would prefer a full blown exclusive, high PV JRPG than another hunting game.. Don't think the VITA has one (not port/enhance/multiplat)

The VITA needs more variety in it's library.
At least a TPS/RPG (like PSP's The 3rd Birthday) would be better than another ARPG/hunting game..

This device actually fits well within the competition:
3DS = Lot's of software/exclusives, weaker hardware, weak multimedia
VITA = Home console mobile iterations, stronger hardware, OK multimedia
Shield = Android Games/PC streaming, *best internals, best *multimedia
No proprietary cards, standard I/O and better speakers.
Can truly compete with iPod Touches/smaller tablets/other pmps due to ecosystem.
Fail or not.. I'm sure Sony won't kill it off prematurely (5 years at least).
They'll lose some consumer and investor confidence. (Very important until the PS4 takes a complete foothold when all 3 major console platforms are out in a while)
Worst case scenario will be Sony and some 3rd parties just "dragging" the VITA situation (slow rate compared to direct competition.. well if still can even be called that)..
