This will be a good opportunity for another company to enter in the console market now that MS is planning to leave. Maybe Google, Amazon or Apple.

I think that with Microsoft leaving the console market with their xbox PC, is a great opportunity for another player to enter the console market. It could be Google, Amazon or even Apple.
It would be more accurate to say: the age of the console generation is coming to an end for MS. The moment MS make the xbox an upgradeable PC as they are planning to, that takes out the xbox from the console market and leaves Nintendo and Sony as the only console makers. MS would have to battle on the PC market and convince PC gamers on why they would rather buy an xbox computer when their PC can already do that purpose.
The xbox has failed to dominate or be the leader of the console market, simple fact. Is obvious that MS must look for other strategies and those Microsoft games now have a better chance to sell more by putting it on PC than leaving them alone in xbox where they would probably not sell that good.
This will not change anything in the console market, the PS4 is going to keep dominating worldwide and PlayStation users have been enjoying crossplay with PC since the PS3.
Would it be good for PC gamers? It could, it depends if they adopt the windows store.
Would it be good for xbox? For the established user base could be but not for expanding the brand. This will not help xbox fight against the worldwide domination of PlayStation and also it will not help that the xbox console is not going to have real console exclusives to define it. PS4 and Nintendo will be the only consoles with real exclusives.
That is if you completely ignore PlayStation and the fact that they are the ones dominating the whole console industry.

MS better step up and attend this matter quickly because this is turning into a fiasco just like back then with DRM and always online on their console.

You are forgetting that the xbox would be no longer a console. That example shows exactly how the PC market works. The xbox will be fighting on the PC market while the console market will belong to Sony and Nintendo.
As you said, this will devide the xbox community and a devided Kingdom will not stand for long.
With this strategy MS will leave the console market to Sony and Nintendo as the new Microsoft concept cannot be classified as a console anymore. The console market will not see the xbox as a console and the PC market will say: Why submit to Windows 10 if we already can do that with our PCs?

I see this going the same way as when MS tried to force DRM and always online in consoles. It turned out to be a fiasco.
Sony doesn't need to care. Sony is right now transcending the industry and innovating by having the only console in the market with VR support. Not supporting other devices but by having one of their own.
Microsoft can go with that strategy. Is a desperate move as the company is looking to move away from the loosing side. They are gambling the xbox brand with this move but they need to do something.
Xbox has not won anything against the PS4. I don't get why people like to ignore reality. Looks like for some, reality is very hard to swallow.
