The difference between the two is the GPU class & Memory bandwidth. Cpu is a mystery. I find it hard to believe Scorpio's Cpu will be running Amd's Jaguar core up-clocked, They have to be either an up-clocked Puma, or a Amd's next-gen ZEN cores SOC'd with an under clocked VEGA gpu. The memory will most likely be 12gb of GDDR5X

I always thought Gabe hated MS and wanted nothing to do with their Windows OS which is why he wanted Linux for steam boxes.
Steam Machines failed because PC nerds would just rather build their own gaming rigs and console gamer didn't want the hassles of software configs, Steambox wanted to be something in between consoles and PC gaming or both at the same time, but because of it's Linux os was such a failure, it wasn't able to do either good. Not sure MS doing things this way with UWA app would have the same results.
If this XB-PC hybrid able to install & run basic steam-powered software without any fanfare. Then even I as a PlayStation gamer would be interested in getting in on this.
