That has more to do with Hardware limitations than the devs deciding to "waterdown" the game. A lot of the Wi''s processing power goes to work the Wiimote so some corners have to be cut when making a game (especially online) that would require a lot of processing.
And i would agree with you. The hostility comes from people like him acting like games have no value (artistic or otherwise) and treating gamers with a snobby attitude.

Doubtful. If anything this will give the "gamers are addicts" people more fuel for their idiocy.

Are you one of the programmers for the game? You freak out whenever someone says they don't like the controls and post until you run out of bubbles every RE5 article that's posted on here. Nothing personal, just wondering.
RE5 is going to be a rental for me. I know that the controls are supposed to be part of the RE experience but they're too frustrating for me (and apparently many others as well) to make me want to spend $60 on the game.
