It's very good that both systems are selling and growing their user base. It can only mean more competition between them which means more and better games, and features on all consoles for us. A larger user base will also help gaming to become more mainstream too and hopefully then fiasco's like the manhunt 2 witchunt situation can be avoided.
I played this to death before my 360 died on me. I'll definantly be getting this for the PS3.

This has nothing to do with past system sales. It is just showing that both systems growth are on par with the PS2's from last gen. Basically it just shows that all the doom and gloom posts are unwarranted.
I fully expect another Nintendo console to be released by 2009. Possibly another handheld too.
Wouldn't have made more sense if they had used the green bar for the 360 and the red one for the PS3?
@ those who voted disagree- I didn't mean to reverse the games sold just to have green represent 360 and red PS3. The total sold would stay the same.
This is what i have been saying all along. Both PS3 and 360 are excellent consoles which do well at catering to the demographic for which they were designed( PS3 high-def movies and games, 360 high-def games and online game-play). Regardless what the naysayers and fanboys alike have to say, both consoles are doing very well and have a good future ahead of them.
I heard FEAR was great too until i played a demo of it. I wish Sony and MS would require dev's to have a demo ready before a game is released. It doesn't have to be anything huge that will push back the release date of the game. Just a small sample of how the game feels and controls. Kinda like the short demo that was available for Area 51 Blacksite.
Any word on a demo showing up on PS3?
That would mean that parents would have to take responsibility for what their kids are playing, and you know that isn't going to happen.
This sucks, i actually looked forward to playing this. This was going to be the only other game rated higher than teen that i had ever played on a Nintendo console (Eternal Darkness being the other at rated M). I guess the question now is if Rockstar will delay and edit the game or if they will try to sell it themselves. Assuming that Nintendo or Sony(really surprised Sony said no too) doesn't try to block it from the console somehow.
Unless you own stock in either format manufacturer this should be nothing personal to you. From a consumer stand point however it will be great when a clear victor is decided. Having only one High-Def format will generate more sales when you won't have to worry about your format of choice going obsolete on you. Increased sales will also encourage competition between the different manufacturers and lower prices for us, the consumer.
I hope this game controls well. This was/is going to be the next game for my Wii that i bought and would hate to have it messed up by shotty , unresponsive controls. Fingers crossed.

True. A warranty is very important when buying a Xbox 360. Just make sure to get an in store one. Less hastle and you can go right back to gaming sooner.
I think they are supposed to change the Elite color to white soon. The black version is just supposed to be a "limited edition".

That is horrible looking. I could do the same thing for free by just twisting the wire around the classic controller.
