He say's Blu-ray has not had a momentous year, yet back in Jan/Feb, Blu-ray actually won the HD format war - that in itself is the single biggest thing that can/could happen to Blu-ray.

Gaming has become more mainstream now, and we have a problem that is going to get even worse with clueless families simply buying the annual release games (i.e all EA sport games, and CoD etc).

Little Big Planet is one of the most creative games ever release - fully backed up by Sony. Most PSN games are orginal, XBox live are just re-hashed classics. I think we all know the truth, but M$ seem to pollute/infect the dumb witted.

EDGE 'were' one of the biggest. They have gone down hill loads over the last few years.
Their reviews are biased and completely wrong in some instances because they try to give standout opinions.
8/10 for BIOSHOCK - this won game of the year.
8/10 for MSG4 - well and truly shocking, and this game will probably win game of the year.
I think the graphical route they have gone done makes it look kinda cool.

It could just be that Gamespot are doing things like this to increase traffic to the site - sad I know, but tactics I wouldn't put past people, esp Gamespot.

Guys, EDGE has known to be massively Pro XBox. And these reviews prove it again. They gave Halo3 a 10, and then Resistance a 6. You notice how the XBox exclusives get higher scores and the multiplatform games/PS3 exclusives get low scores.
EDGE are playing a very risky game since they rely on magazine sales to make money, not through their website. Like with sites that show clear fanboy-ism in their reviews (Gamespot etc) people stopped going to their websites, but if people stop...

Its exactly what I have been doing.
I showed a friend in work the other some Killzone 2 videos and he pre-ordered the game within 15 minutes :D
