I read a really interesting interview with Rod Ferguson about some of that stuff. Apparently it was not an easy decision to go with the old AI engine, as they could have very easily went with the one from Gear 3, which is far superior. However he said that the behavior code for is completely different between the two, so they opted to game with the authentic feel of Gears 1, over a polished current feel.

Gears UE was way too low on this list.
Considering the price, the fact that EVERY texture in the game was replaced, the additions to multiplayer, and that every cut-scene was re-filmed using new mo-cap. I'd say it a poor call to dismiss it so quickly, just because the author of the article felt the 10 year old gameplay now feels stale.

Honestly, if iPad's can sell to consumers without the slightest hint of hesitation for a similar price, I don't see how the Hololens wouldn't fly off the shelves at that price. Honestly, all they need to do is show their tech demo from E3, and most consumers would by yelling "shut up and take my money".

Well assuming that your energy company charges the same way as any other similar company in the world (using a set amount for Kilowatts per hour), I don't think that TV of yours is costing you as much as you may assume. Typical HDTV's are insanely energy efficient. Your refrigerator, lights, electric appliances, etc. are more than likely whats driving your bill so high.

I LOVE the Uncharted series, I LOVE it, heck I really love anything Naughty Dog does... let's be honest :D
However I simply could not force myself to play 'Golden Abyss' I bought a VITA just for it, but I simply cannot play it. It's unbearable to me, the shooting feels sloppy, the gimmicky controls, I just can't do it. Sony Bend messed up big time, in my opinion.

I often find myself wondering if games like Super Metroid and Super Mario World really are as great as I personally think they are, or whether it's simply more about the nostalgia factor.
Either way, I LOVE those two games, and am constantly replaying them.

I don't feel that sentence devalues any of the review.
So many people complained about the left and right bumper buttons when the X1 came out. Then many of those complaints subsided once players learned how the controller was meant to be used. The bumpers are not intended to be 'pressed' like they were on the 360 controller, they are designed to be engaged with the slightest rolling of your index finger so that your fingers never have to be removed off of the trigger buttons.
Forgive me if I am jumping to conclusions here...

It is easily the most impressive remaster of this generation.

What your saying is true, remember the Atari Lynx? Released in North America the same year as the Gameboy, had a full color screen, tons more features, and some pretty solid games. However Nintendo ended up winning that battle by a WIDE margin.
Its all about content. Tetris really helped push sales outside of the core demographic. Plus games like Super Mario Land didn't hurt things either.
I think he meant, the banter between characters, and little more set-piece style moments.
More like talk about an unnecessary role to begin with. The game already has legs of its own, paying a "pretty" woman to help boost sales is useless at this point.

This was an idea ahead of its time.
I used to have so much fun playing this with all of my friends, competing with each other for a high score. My one friend actually made it to being one of the 100. Got kicked out the first round, lol!
I genuinely thought it was going to be the first of many like it, and we would soon be seeing more and more.
I really hope they bring it back.
