PS3 does still reek of awesomeness. Hell, I'm on it right now playing Red Dead Redemption as I browse through n4g and I still have quite a backlog on the PS3 to this day. However, it would be even more awesome if I didn't have to put up with these annoying PSN connection issues on the PS3 for the last year and a half. All my other devices like my Vita, PS4, Laptop and phone don't suffer from these issues but my PS3 does for some reason. That is NOT so awesome...
I just got my Sony X850D 4K TV hooked up on Friday so I'm ready for the Pro but I just need a price cut or a game bundle or maybe both. For anyone without a PS4 and a 4K TV the Pro is a no brainer but I on the other hand already have a PS4 which I also bought for $400.. I'm not too encouraged to spend another $400 on a beefier version of the same exact console that I already have. I just need a little more of an incentive to upgrade and a price cut or game bundle will do that.. Maybe ...
This is great news however I bet this still wont shut up the morons who keep claiming Sony isn't doing well financially or Sony is broke. Sony has been doing well and turning things around for the last 3 - 4 years honestly and like you pointed out you still had people claiming they were doomed and going under lol. Morons will be morons I guess no matter how much evidence and facts are thrown in their face.
Well this year may not be that great for YOU in particular. You game on Xbox One so I can't say I blame ya for feeling that way.
Not everyone, at least not me.. I have 26 retail games for my PS4 at the moment. 14 out of 26 of the games that I own on disc are exclusive so it's almost an even split. For the rest of the year I'll be getting Kingdom Hearts 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Middle Earth Shadow of War, Tekken 7, Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Gran Turismo Sport, Crash, Knack 2 and GOW or Days Gone if rumors are true and either of them make it this year. By the end of they year I'll still have more exclusives...
@Kingthrash360
Someone gets it.
And this is what I was saying last year when Microsoft announced that they were allowing crossplay with other consoles after not allowing it all of last gen.. This is why Sony is pretty hesitant to allow crossplay with Xbox and PlayStation. As far as consoles go, they have a higher install base than Microsoft by millions so most peoples friends will be most likely be playing online on PS4 on games like COD, BF, Fifa, NBA 2K...
Judging from your comment history I seriously doubt you ever had any interest in this game at all.
People are way more concerned with getting clicks then being professional journalists. That's why.
Never played Alan Wake or Quantum Break but I do remember playing my brothers copies of Max Payne 1 & 2 on the PS2 a long time ago and enjoying it. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on whatever they announce for the PS4.
I'm glad these Japanese games are doing so well. The fact that these games that are considered niche are doing so well and even holding their own against AAA's like Mass Effect tells me that a lot of people are getting tired of a lot of western AAA games just like I am...
I just ordered the Steelbook edition of this game along with Nioh. Only problem is that I have to wait a month to get it being that the game is sold out on Amazon :(. I've never played a Persona game so I hope it's good.
Let's see.. I finished Horizon about a week ago, just got Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 Remix and now these 2 games are shipping. Haven't even picked up Gravity Rush 2 or Nier yet and honestly I might not be able to. May have to skip them or wait a...
"Follow the herd if you like and enjoy your agrees though... just expect me to rub it in everyone's faces when I'm proven rights about the companies‘ >current level of focus< on gaming."
Yeah, just like how you were right about DX12, right? Oh wait.. lol
Even with the inclusion of PS4 games I don't think PS NOW is going to take off anytime soon. If all the great games and exclusives on PS3 didn't get it to take off then PS4 games won't either.
The only ways I could possibly see it taking off is if
1. $9.99 Netflix style pricing.
2. PS NOW tied into PS Plus subscriptions.
3. As you stated, PS4 games coming to PS NOW on release day.
Howev...
PC gamers still have way more incentive to buy a PS4 than they do an Xbox One due to the fact that
1. The PS4 exclusives won't be on PS NOW the day they release and you'll probably have to wait a year or two to play them.
2. Since the games will be streamed and won't be running natively on PC hardware the games won't be able to take advantage of the hardware on PC and with game streaming comes lower resolutions, input lag, compression, etc...
Oh of course not. It doesn't make consoles less accessible. You're right but it certainly devalues them and makes them less attractive. I mean if consoles keep getting devalued then less and less people are going to purchase them and more and more people are going to begin purchasing PC's being that they will have access to PlayStation and Xbox exclusives.The PC gaming market already has and still is growing A LOT. Hell, my brother is strictly PC now. This could seriously hurt con...
"Wrong. Including PC Gamers = Larger Playerbase for multiplayer games = Better matchmaking"
If, IF the game supports crossplay which not every game is guaranteed to and even if every game did have crossplay with PC and PS4, many console players like myself may not want to game with PC players due to the keyboard/mouse advantage and other configurations they will have in those games that will give them an advantage so that really isn't necessarily beneficial to...
@Outside_ofthe_Box
Yup unfortunately I think they will go the same route Microsoft is going as well. I wouldn't even be surprised if Sony started actually releasing their first party exclusives on the PC in the next 2 or 3 years. This move is just the first of many steps towards the door of Sony devoloping games for PC. I hate to say this as an og fan since the 90's but this move also shows me that Sony doesn't really care if console gaming succeeds anymore. Jus...
You hit the nail on the head. People seem to get so wrapped up in these "console wars", these brands and these products they forget that these companies and these suits are aren't looking out for your best interest and they don't care about your feelings. They're only looking out for theirs. Like you pointed out, these companies are going to do whatever they feel is best for business at the end of the day even if it means screwing consumers and fans alike. These companie...
"Sony, Microsoft Bringing Their Games To PC Is Good For Gaming"
No, this isn't good for gaming in general. This is only good for PC gaming and PC gaming alone. This doesn't benefit console gaming. I'd really love someone to explain how because this article certainly hasn't done that..
This is true. Hell, on N4G you can state the most legit factual arguments which make total sense in regards to the topics at hand and still get dozens of disagrees from people lol.
I've been on this site for about 3 years and the more time I spent on it the more I learned to never question question agrees or disagrees or worry about why you got so many of them in the first place. Trust me.. you're only beating a dead horse by doing so lol
