The PS4 already won this generation. It's dominating the competition even though the heavy hitters haven't arrived yet. Now imagine what's going to happen when the heavy hitters like Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo 7, Rachet & Clank, etc do arrive next year and beyond. This is just the calm before the storm..
It looks like the PS4 and PC are the most profitable platforms according to third party devs like Ubisoft and EA meanwhile the Xbox One is in third place. No wonder Microsoft is bringing so many of their Xbox exclusives to the PC..
Sony skipping gamescom isn't as important as it would have been had they not had a conference to make up for it. People seem to forget that Sony still has a conference at Paris Games Week and for the people saying Paris Games Week is a small show. Well.. it isn't. Last year and the year before that PGS has had over 200,000 attendee's and it's only going to get more coverage and attention now that Sony is going to have a conference there.
When I said toppings I was referring to pepporoni, sausage, mushrooms, etc. Of course a pizza isn't a pizza without the cheese and tomato sauce to go with the bread.

Perhaps I should've been more specific as to what I meant. Look, I don't think it has any chance of outselling the PS4 or Xbox One or anything when it's 3 years late to the market. It's unrealistic to think something like that is going to happen but if what I'm saying comes to pass then it definitely will eat away at a chunk of Xbox One and PS4 sales. This is a great idea but sadly it isn't going to stop people from complaining. Now people are going to either complain about the games being offered to vote on sucking or the game they choose not making it to the instant game collection.
You can give people free pizza and they'll complain about the pizza you gave them not having any toppings on it. You can't win with people.
If the NX is more poweful than the PS4, has decent online and has 1st party support AND good 3rd party support then Sony and Microsoft are gonna be in trouble..
Another breakout game is definitely going to be that Horizon Zero Dawn game. That game looks amazing and it's a breathe of fresh air. I think that game is going to do very well.
Holy sh*t. They sold over 3 million between April and June and these are just the PS4 numbers alone. This console is selling like a million a month which is insane. I was skeptical about it but this console might actually outsell the PS2 at the end of it's life cycle.
If the PS4 is doing this good now, imagine what's going to happen in 2016 when all the big heavy hitters come out..

I'm just glad us PS guys have something to look forward to at Gamescom. I'm also glad Guerilla is doing something new broke away from the generic 1 person shooter stuff. I enjoyed Killzone 2 and 3 but all the first person shooter stuff was getting stale. This is my most anticipated game for 2016. I can't wait to see more at Gamescom.
@The_Infected Uhm.. you do realize that the PS4 achieved this 8 - 9 months ago and the Xbox One is still getting outsold in it's strongest region on a monthly basis and is still over 10 million units behind the PS4 globally right? With that being said, would you care to explain how the Xbox One is "gaining momentum"?

I got the GTA/TLOU bundle PS4 and it gets extremely loud depending on what game I'm playing. The fan sounds like a jet when I'm playing TLOU or Shadow Of Mordor.
Exactly, people often equate CPU horsepower to CPU clockspeed when they aren't even the same thing. The X1 uses the same CPU as the PS4. It's just clocked a tiny bit higher than the PS4's CPU which is nothing to really be bragging about, especially considering that the PS4's GPU can generate 44% more pixels compared to the Xbox One's GPU and it can offload CPU task's to the GPU with GPU compute.
Slightly Mad should either refund all the Wii U owners that backed their game or just make the Wii U version 720p 30fps without all the special features and effects that the X1 and PS4 version had. People gave you MONEY to develop the Wii U version and you put the game on every other platform besides the Wii U. That's like me giving a homeless person money for food that they said they were going to get and them going behind my back and spending it on liquor and drugs when the money is not...
GT comes out every 3 years and the last 1 came out in 2013 so I guarantee you that GT7 will either be at TGS, PGS or PSX. You can't expect Sony to reveal all of their cards at E3. They have to save some surprises for other events
