A couple of reviews that are already out have stated the PS3 has the edge in graphics. I know tht Play Magazine's review stated that, and there was one other review that I saw already but can't remember what pub it was. The major ones haven't released their reviews yet.
Lol just because it wasn't running on the final game engine doesn't mean it was CGI. It was being rendered in real time, just on a PC because the final specs of the PS3 weren't even complete. And like I stated, a PC could only render it at 5 fps, so they sped up the frames to 60fps.
What I always found funny is when people gripe about "Oh noes I are not Snake 4ever but gay Raiden boohoo." For most people MGS2 was only the 2nd frikkin Metal Gear they ever played, so it's not like they were engaged to Solid Snake or anything. I actually found it refreshing to see Snake through someone else's perspective.

It is kinda annoying how everyone says the first killzone trailer was CGI. It was, in fact, a TARGET RENDER bases upon the supposed final specs of the PS3. It was actually running in REAL time on PC. IT was running at only 5 fps but sped up to 60 but it was indeed rendered in real time, just not on a PS3. That Halo trailer...yah that was CGI.
They did not say that NA and EU get same release date as the PS3, they said that the game itself is coming out the same day in NA and EU instead of EU waiting the 2-3 months they usually do. They never stated that both versions were ocming out day and date.
I can't quite remember, but it was either A. The game did not start on the White Engine and then was transferred to it or B. The White Engine did not start out multiplatform. I can't quite remember, but I do remember them announcing the White Engine being their multiplatform way after FFXIII was shown off.
Also, nowhere did they say same day and date as the PS3 version. I have read ALL the Q&A about this, but I am sure that their wallets will make sure it happens.

This may have been a huge announcement, but I do not think the effects of it are as dire as some believe or would lead you to believe.

Lol the cost of almost all forms of entertainment is up. My local movies went from $7 to $9.50 practically overnight. The main reason for this is because we as Americans love to escape from reality. People are paying $60 for these games, so there is no point in dropping them back to $50.

Once again, wrong zone for comments like this. If you had a PS3, you would know this is not the case. There are some fantastic games on the system, more than the Wii has, yet I do not hear comments like $250 non-DVD player. Go spam your crap in the other zone.
For a voice of reason, your comments sure don't belong in the gamer zone. I hate to tell you, but Playstation still is the #1 brand. The PS3 may not be the #1 console in Japan (it's #2) but the overall brand (PS3, PS2, PSP) still dominate sales. The PSP has been dominating the Wii for weeks now. Granted, this will change when (and if) Japanese people who do not already have a Wii (which isn't many) go buy one for MH3.

OMG it's not broken. Turn off your custom themes and the icons will appear. The problem is that when people made custom themes, there were no icons for trophies or internet search.
That took me 15 seconds to figure it out last night.
Oh, and you CAN listen to music if you are surfing the net or looking at pics. You could do that since day 1.
Man, people are greedy. Appreciate what we got, and know that it will get tweaked.
It is very exciting for a few reasons.
1. It gives the gamers some goals to achieve ingame. With arcade titles, this really gives you some replayability. For example, take a poll on how many people either are replaying or playing SSHD for the first time.
2. It opens the potentialfor future trophy updates, giving gamers a reason to replay those old games and play through new ones.

What I find funny is that all of those 1st party titles they listed...were NEW IPs for the PS2. Very few of the PS1 IPs carried over to the PS2. Twisted Metal took a couple of years, Wipeout wasn't even published by Sony, Crash and Spyro were sold to Universal, Syphon Filter made it to lackluster sales(although the online was awesome). Jet Moto, Warhawk, Destruction Derby, Rally Cross, and tons more never saw light of day.
