I think the concept of protection in this case would be more on the lines of a male presence being more imposing to another invading male, rather than actually forming an army to prevent invasions and raids in the tribe. The game is good, but a bit rudimentary. The plot is ok, does it's job and it can be pretty fun playing with friends (even alone I had a good time). The competitive mode is a bit underwhelming, good ideas, bad execution. The ending is a bit out of nowhere: the game simply stops dead on its tracks.
If this sells well, maybe they can work more on the concept, which is pretty cool, IMO. Great party game for movie/mystery fans.
The only bad thing about XIII-2 is that you have to play it's prologue that is XIII to get the full picture. Not only that, but that cliffhanger ending was terrible, as I have no desire to ever play XIII-3 (seems the weakest, although some people say the battle system is pretty fun). :T
