Came in to say that. You are completely right. If we go by recent talents, even Jeff Kaplan jumped ship. I know some people NEVER liked Overwatch, but it was in a MUCH better state when he was at the helm. You could see he cared about the project a lot. But care can only lead you to one place only in greedy companies like this... out the door.
She grows on you as the game goes on, and trust me when I say that Alan loses nothing by sharing screen time. His story is actually more interesting and creative than hers (but hers is also pretty good).
They do some stuff with Alice in the game that is cool too, and it kind of addresses your point there, but I feel like having her in a more active role would be a bit more interesting as well.

Nah, Saga is pretty cool. I do have some gripes with how she is written and I do take issue with the continuity of the character... I feel like continuity is important, specially in this story, and it should have been preserved. But, welp, I guess this is quite minor and I will just grow to accept it, just like I did when Daario Naharis was recast on Game of Throne: took a while, but I just went along with it. lmao
Saga is OK, BUT, she reacts so nonchalantly to the weird things happening around her (even the first weird stuff) that it is a bit hard to relate to her. By comparison, even though Wake has seen it all, he reacts more properly to all the crazy stuff not only in this game, but also in the previous one. Yep. She is a’ight… as a secondary and minor character. No need to be pushing her into the spotlight. MJ is already pushing it, but I love stealthing and I actually like MJ as a character throughout the years, so I can live with that.
Would be more interesting having Black Cat doing the stealth missions to be completely honest, make her more involved in the story. Maybe even Silver Sable herself.

Zack is alive, Biggs is alive, there are fate ghosts that bring characters from the dead (Barret), there are new characters and places, there is even Deepground, was that on FF7? Aerith knows she is going to die, Sephiroth knows stuff going all the way back from Advent Children. I mean, it doesn’t get more sequel to the original than that. Lmao People still clinging that this is a literal Remake is baffling.
@Seraphim What do you consider a sequel and what do you consider a continuation of the same story? Is Uncharted 2 a sequel or a continuation? Resident Evil is a sequel or continuation to Zero? Is the Trails series, where most games pick up exactly where the previous one ends are sequels or continuations? The Xenosaga series? Mass Effect?

Nah. Definitely not the worst.
Game was underwhelming and, in hindsight, quite bland and forgettable. But I had fun while playing it. The subpar DLC was the nail in the coffin it seems.
