bunch of characters that arent memorable and no one would care to play with. This genre of game is out of microsoft's league. They just dont have the 1st party titles...itd just be Master chief and a grunt or two from gears, the rest .... alan wake and his flashlight? too human? ... nah....
Smash Brothers created the genre, free for others to utilize. Ever game released is a copy of another game (the original).
Using this logic, every FPS game released is a wolfenstein 3d copy, every platformer is a mario bros. copy, every game is a copy of another game, but there has to be a game to start the genre.
LaChance might be bitter cause M$ doesnt have any 1st party characters theyd be able to use in a mash up like this. Nintendo and Playstation have plenty of memorable 1st party toons, all M$ would have is Master Chief, one of the grunts from Gears .... and .... ... .... ... ..... ..... Too Human guy? Im looking forward to Halo4 as well...but i live in reality. Where ppl know 360 doesnt touch the PS3 in that respect.

By saying rent the game, hes saying to those people who arent interested to TRY it, because theyll most likely like it. Its a game that probably comes off as Racing, or as a "not for me" title ... but if you rent it for a fwe bucks, you might see that you really like it and end up buying it.

I agree...i actually just finished beating UC3 about 2 weeks ago...I loved every minute of it. The shipyard level wasnt VITAL to the storyline for the reason stated above ... but its not to say it wasnt fun and interesting to look at. The water effects were amazing, and the environments were beautiful....i really enjoyed playing through them especially when the storm started...it was amazing.
