there is no way developers are going to ignore the 40,000,000 existing install base. thats where their real buyers are, PS4P will take awhile to get a base high enough to support the extra effort that is going to go into making games that utilize it added power. I'm not worried about my PS4 being left behind in the least.
if the power advantage (6tf >4.2tf) will be obvious a year from now, how will the 4.2tf > 1.3tf difference look until then? And since the is a 5tf difference between XB1s and Scorpio how is that not a generational difference? If 2 tf is obvious 4tf will make the xb1 and xb1s obsolete just like a generation leap does, except with full backwards compatibility as i would assume all consoles to have going forward.
everything i would do on a computer i now do on my phone...
I think Sony realizes that digital content is now more common than disk as internet speeds are now fast enough to support 4k. I mean i bought any bluerays when i got my ps3, but i haven't bought any in at least 3 years, digital is just easier and cheaper. Plus they have Vue, and i think they will expand that and have 4k content there. Keeps the cost of the console down also.
I thought sony already had a patent for something like this...

i think it would be cool if in a single player campaign as you are working through a level, you come across an area that is a multiplayer map and there is an actual multiplayer battle going on inside your single player game. you could have limited affect on this battle but it would incorporate into the single player mission you are on. This could apply to any FPS with a single player campaign of course.
I don't think they would ignore the 40-50 million ps4 users there will be by the time Neo releases. Its those users that will be buying most of the games, eventually Neo users will add up, but there will always be more PS4 users than Neo users even at the end of this Generation.
I think its a regular ps4 with the PSVR box built in, and a 4k Blueray drive.
i think the neo is simply the add on processor for the psvr built in. In this way its an all in one system, but on the old systems you need the add on to make it compatible. But on the new system, since its all in one, it can make use of the extra power for all games instead of only for psvr games.
I always thought Sony should team up with apple on their OS, then they could release on apple's OS and bring up the gaming chops of apple. Plus have a great OS on their console.
could be longer, Sony is able to use a co-processor to improve PS4 abiliies with PSVR. They could do the same thing and just upgrade the PS4 for the next Generation. Install base would be huge to start a new generation.
Why should we care? i don't want ps3 games on my ps4 let alone ps2 games.
ps2 games should be on our phones/tablets not consoles.
I can understand why some people have no interest in the game. But i don't understand all the hate for it. Why do people feel they must force their opinion on others? Don't like it, don't play... play what you like and let others do the same.
Can't we all just get along! lolz
consoles are solely a device for fun. PC is also an enterprise device used in business. Consoles will never surpass PC unless they exclude those used in a business setting and i'm not sure how they would track that.
It comes down to versatility also. If this can be used beyond games, and possible beyond the realm of the PlayStation then it will be well worth the price of admission.
Either way, i'll probably get it day one cause i like to open boxes. ;)
I've usually calmed down by the time the loading is done.
Maybe it will be avail. in other locations when they hit their 20 years... was the original released WW on the same day?
USA had its 20th anniversary, maybe EU will have its 20th anniversary on its actual 20 years from release date in that region.
Maybe i'm speculating out my a$$, who knows.
But at least a limited edition is actually limited otherwise its kinda false advertising.
They should have released as many as day ...
If Epic has licensed their engine for the creation of this masterpiece, i assume use of their logo is part of said license.
Also, they should maybe be more discerning on who they give a license to. If they don't like the idea, they can decline their license... but not after the fact.
Perhaps the AI could be leveled to the person who is attacking. A better (higher ranked) player would do less damage and take more damage from an AI. Thus costing more time, ammunition and health to fight the AI for a skilled player vs a noob.
Just a thought...
Heavenly Sword 2.0, kinda anyway. looks great!
