Where you there on x1 launch, where it said installing for hours yet it was downloading, biggest mess ever but you had it perfect, prob 4 yo at the time

I’m still on ps3 and skipped ps4, I’m hoping the ps5 will auto upgrade ps4 games frame rate and resolution. If it doesn’t I’ll get a cheap pro.
On vr I still use my move controllers so I already have those so if there was a proVR cheap bundle I’d highly consider that since I doubt ps5 will improve ps4 resolution and mostly not improve frame rate without specific dev patches.
Also considering vr, I do have a gtx 1080 so I guess that’s better than psvr? ...
I just want ps4 games to not need a dev update to get better resolution and frame rate. Please work some x86 magic to auto-improve!
If ps4 games are not any better then I’ll just get a cheap pro. (still finishing ps3 backlog and can’t stop my Motorstorm habit)...
I had this same consideration about 4k before the x1 was even announced, I couldn't stand ps360 multiplats at 700×576 horeshit and got a 4k tv(Seiko) and gtx titan before there was a ps4 and Xbox one.
I was so excited back then, but now hell I could care less I just want high frame rate smoothness. Rdr2 is giving my current rig fits...
I keep getting full 3 second stops when I think my i56600k maxes out. My gtx 1080 is at max also and I've dropped resolution but that hardly makes a difference. I need to individually test each of the main settings to see which is effecting cpu use the most.
1440, 120fps is getting the same stops as 900p, 60fps. So maybe texture streaming, I'm using a portable ssd via usb3.0, maybe that? Can't wait for a tweak guide or I'll have to test myself.
I can’t wait for the tweak guide that shows which little obscure settings knock 15 fps off, and the setting that make shit much better with a cost of 3 fps.
I’ve noticed choosing setting that are designed for cards that come in 2 years are being used today. It takes new pc users awhile to get that.
Right, we have a problem that is a blessing. New inexperienced pc users don’t understand it’s necessary to reduce settings, that’s the problem.
The fact so many new pc to users have came into the market is the blessing.
The users who played this were generally disappointed in episode 2. I gathered episode 1 was lacking but had just on the verge of enough potential that the assumption was 2 would build off of one, but sadly it did not.
If episode 3 does everything the players want it will be a home run, but being a new medium with limited budget I expect it will not do the few key things to make it awesome.
$200 is not a good ass fucking deal- that’s market value. Paying under $150 would be a good deal, and anything less would be a good ass fucking deal.
I think slower paced games might be what this ends up being best for. Strategy games, turn based, etc.
Sony is doing great but please remember, competition keeps them straight.
Also remember we are not broken into Sony vs MS, we are consumers vs business.

I forgot about this, I was considering buying a 3rd x1 so I could play with my 2 kids. We currently play together and I'm on pc but not all games are cross platform so this might be what I try until Scarlett.
Any tips? We are all the same account with different gamertags so it should work. I can put up with the lag for a year I guess, we do have Google fiber 1gig so that should help.

I get random 4 second pauses on any setting with gtx 1080, i56600k. I know the cpu is old but it keeps hitting 100% and I think that is what is doing it.
1440/120 FPS or 900p I still get it, Vulcan or dx12. I’ve tried low settings too.
