I honestly expected a quick-snap response by Sony (they've done before if I remember correctly). This was rather calm and professional.

Some people tend to forget that the PS2 didn't sell 145+ million out of the gate....
When GT3 came out, the PS2 was in the 15mil units range. By the time GT3 sold 15mil, the PS2's install base was about the same as the PS3's install base now.
GT4 sold less than GT3, despite the bigger install base of well over 90mil.
Do I think GT5 will sell 10mil? Look at the history:

Gran Turismo sells, on average, over 10 million copies.... THAT's GT-Like.
The latest demo sold just shy of 5 million, so Forza 3 still has a bit to go, but good progress nonetheless.

I agree. No PS3 exclusive has reached Halo, but neither has any 360 game. Gran Turismo 5 is most likely going to be the big seller, since those games almost always sell more than Halo.
The demo (GT4:P) sold just shy of a couple thousand copies short of the 360's second best-selling exclusive and MGS4 sold the same as the second best selling exclusive.
I don't know, I just hope that's not the official one.
It looks far too plain to me. I liked the green strip below it and the rings with the Xbox Live logo and the shading was nice. This is just too bleh.

I'm still baffled as to how people could have thought that the video, showing 3D glasses and a screen displaying 3D for a game on PS3 could have possibly meant PS4.

I had that same problem, too, but it was a glitch. Whenever I would go into Firefox, even when I wasn't on Google, the noise would go off. I had to disable some add-ons in order for it to go away.
It was pretty annoying.
You're misunderstanding things.
Those only happen when one of the online services goes down unexpectedly. These are maintenance. No one gets up-in-arms about these. But I can see you just joined, so you probably weren't here when PSN unexpectedly went down for a day.

You guys really have to stop assuming that every maintenance equals features or firmware updates. When it comes, it comes. Take it easy, don't expect the unexpected and I guarantee you won't be disappointed when an unannounced, unmentioned, unhinted update never shows.

Nice list, but definitely not the best. Although, to be fair, mine would include Warhawk, which is one of my fav online games of all time. So much fun!
I'm hoping to see some stage time for PSN features and updates. I found it pretty interesting to see them show us the new PS Store back at E3 2008, especially when they announced the movie section would arrive that day!
