years ago we are hoping for movie cgi quality graphics which we usually watch @ dvd resolution - 1080p resolution.
if games are going to look that good I don't know why the hell are people bitching about having 4k resolution.
if you want 4k resolution you can just stick to old games with outdated graphics and run it @ 4k.
Have you seen the minecraft (RTX)? it looks incredible.
But have you seen the rdna2 ray tracing demo? it looks horrible.
prepare to be dissappointed next gen console is powered by rdna2. ray tracing will be so limited on console this gen you won't see the difference between xbox and ps5, you would not even see the difference between raytracing off and on.
No matter how you spin it you'd need at least an RTX 2080 TI card for rayt...

outdated graphics @ 4k or next gen graphics @ 1080 or 1440p, devs would have to choose between these.
Most of the people does not realize how big the gap between 1080p - 4k is compared to 480p to 1080p.
I guess most of series x first party games will be crossgen for quite a while.
