I was around for the first two fallouts and they were great but bethesdahas done a great job with the franchise.
They shouldn't be beholden to details from 20 years ago.

I've been gaming for 35 years. The idiots that bought the first dlc and continue to do so are to blame for what's happened to gaming in terms of monetisation.
The same idiots that bought loot boxes, skins, extras moves in mobile type games, etc etc etc
Games have gone from £40 to a £100 released over 6-12 months. It doesn't benefit the gamer, only the company.

Genuinely considering not buying this now, purely because I'm sick of pre-planned nickel and diming. Just make a great game. If you then have some new ideas to add then do that. Sod off trying at the outset to make the whole thing a £100+ package with base game plus multiple DLCs.
I didn't really likes origins and thought it was way too big. And I've platinumed every AC game. Bigger doesn't mean better.
I'm sick and tired of fifa so removed it halfway through last season. I purchased PES when it came on offer. I played it for a good two or three wks solid but have to say it's incredibly poor. Some parts are really quite embarrassing such as goalkeeper movement.

The last version played literally just let the ai defend for them.
Games like this wreck their own chances with early access. It's already had its day in the sun months and years before getting anywhere near console. The YouTube community has moved on and it's greatest chance of success - immediately after initial release - has been lost.
I've been playing pure pool since release.
It's my go to boredom game.
