DVD9, especially dual layer are not that fast either, you have to remember. The closer the laser reads to the middle, the slower the read is. Advantage of Blu-ray is consistency and size. Blu-ray can be used for both movies and games.

Ahah! I never mentioned I HAVE a Xbox 360 now did I? Unfortunately the only Xbox 360 I had got RROD, this was before the warranty, I had no choice but to sell the thing. I agree to a point, take for example a casual console. The Wii, I don't believe it's momentum will last forever, however there is no denying the games and the system its self are a casual experience.

DX10 isn't the wave of the future, especially since DX10 isn't capable on consoles, due to restrictions, not hardware incapability.
