Because if there was a massive install base in Japan on the main consoles there would be a shit ton of Japanese devs making amazing old schools jap games. instead mobile is king over there so all focus is on mobile development.
Touché, I am rubber you are glue....
I never played the first one. is it possible for me to just jump into this when it comes?
The question is if its $450 how much will that be in £.. and also is that $450 standalone unit or will that come with controllers/camera/game ect. if its comes with things thats not to bad, if its standalone. thats steep.
BigBosss
Yes I know I was being sarcastic as KenBorter said "when the price goes down" but we dont know what the price is. we could all be surprised and they release at £100. stranger things have happened.
here come the future readers saying "it'll go one way or the other", no sh*t, how did you know.
Im personally looking forward to it, i've experienced a brief bit of gameplay on PSVR and it left me wanting A LOT more.
What is the price?
Looks like duke nukem strip club back in the day.

Is it just me that has never used power armour and never felt the need to use it. i have collected a go few sets now being over 100 hours of gameplay in but apart from the intro with the deathclaw i have never used it.
Or he's game sharing so he can't set it to primary, in which case he shouldn't be moaning in the first place.
Not bad at all considering a lot of people got it free through ps+.
it took of so much because it was free, who would have thought giving something free would make you more money.
If it turns into a niche product in the next few years it will probably stay like that. just like 3D.
The difference is every man and his dog made 3D tvs so no major loss really.
With VR its sony that has put in the r&d investment and i imagine that bill is to big for them to just let it become niche. they will be pushing more money to devs to make AAA game for it which hopefully make people jump on board.
"but over half of UK games stores think that it is not going to take off"
I assumed it was referring the GAME stores, and given their track record I was saying I wouldn't think much of their opinions.
GAME is the only shop to sell you a pre owned game for more than a brand new one and makes numerous fuck ups with peoples orders and have nearly been completely shut down. So of all people anyone working at game especially store managers i would never listen to.
I heard one of their employees tell someone once that they had metal gear solid 4 on the ps3 but they didn't think they had stock in for the 360 version.... i dont give death stares but that day was close.
I think we need to explain it in a different way, as both points are valid as multiplayer is fine being full price if you get your use of of it and same with single player.
i think it should be more down to how much work has actually gone into it. because lets be honest rainbow 6 seige should not be full price with the shoddy amount of content. the gamers are paying for their decision to scrap and start again with that one. R6S is £45 cheapest i have found.
There seems to be a shift in there articles at the minute, its like they are trying to crawl out of that hole they dug for themselves.
if you compare it to films, you pay £10-£15 to see a movie which is approx 90 minutes. times that by 4 and your actually getting what you pay for in relations to films.
BUT i agree.
And to make it even worse, idiots keep buying them and making them the best sellers this gen. which in turn churns out more MP only over priced slop.
Glad I've seen this now. don't think its to late for me.
My thought exactly, I'm really starting to dislike this bloke.
