What's frustrating is that the development team (the programmers, artists, sound design, etc) are extremely talented. These guys have worked elsewhere in the industry and are where they are because of their portfolios. It's obvious they pour their passion into it...
It's the damn executive suits that come in and s*** on that hard work and passion. There's a reason why EA consistently makes the list of top worst companies to work for.
@rainslacker That's fine, unless it's something out of print, which was my case.
Yea, I worked as an assistant manager with the company a bit over 10 years ago. It really made me cringe to adhere to some of the policies they had in place. Like allowing employees to borrow the brand new games that are "gutted" out of their boxes for display and put into sleeves. Not sure if they still do that, but that was terrible. I bought a brand new game some years after, a collector's edition that was hard to find. It was gutted, and when they put the disc into the box i...
Oh geez, I would hope they wouldn't waste their talent on Teen Titans. If they're going to go that route, I would hope it was the real Justice League. Stick it to DC Films and show them how to create a great cinematic Justice League experience.
Lol, did Twinfinite rip this article from DualShockers?
The last paragraph says: "Hopefully, Square Enix will make the announcement soon enough. Of course, you’ll hear all about it here on DualShockers when that happens."
XD
Finally, it's the Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda game we've all been waiting for! Heads will roll!
Watch out. It's a Wild West out there.
Faker than a Todd Howard promise.
@The 10th Rider I was a bit overwhelmed, confused by the story for the first few hours not having played Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm about 12 hours in and it's a lot clearer now, getting used to the characters. It's set 500 years prior to the events of XBC2, so I can only foresee "Blades" existing in the main game, but it'll be interesting to see how these other characters set the course of history leading into that game.
The battle system is aweso...
I played this at Lisboa (Lisbon) Games Week this month & honestly, the game hadn't been on my radar so much before then. Mostly because the game remained such a mystery to me. I played the demo of the little robot platformer. It already felt like a good indie game worth purchasing alone. Great graphics & style, great controls. But it is just a fraction of what you can do with Dreams. I'm kind of amazed of the versatility of the game seeing the rest of the demos. I didn't p...
I actually started with Torna when I got my Switch at the beginning of the month, bought the standalone. (it still includes all the XBC2 dlc) It really is a great game! Very interesting battle system once you have a full party. I can't wait to finish it then pick up the full Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It'll be interesting to see the prequel events lead into that game, whereas most XBC2 players probably beat the main game then see the prequel. Either way, it's a must play for JRPG fan...
Michelle: Well you need a PS4 or an XBox One to play it. Take your pick for your other console to own with the Switch. *cough, PS4* Switch makes a great secondary console, but I wouldn't have owned a Switch by itself. Now was the time for me to jump on it though and I'm happy with it for different kind of games. Especially good for my wife and kid, but there's plenty I'm enjoying on my own too.
Meanwhile, this gets posted a few hours before this one. Pachter being one of a few voices in the article. All it takes is for Pachter to open his mouth and the opposite will come true:
"Nintendo Switch loses shine as killer product for new gaming era"
https://n4g.com/news/222201...
Don't believe me? Here. This just in:
"REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 28, 2018 – Nintendo Switch set two new records from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday: It became the best-selling Nintendo console in U.S. history for that five-day period, surpassing even Wii system sales. Nintendo Switch also had its best-selling week ever in the United States. In fact, according to Adobe Analytics, Nintendo Switch was among the most-purchased items online on Thanksgiving Day and the overall ...
There better be rings. Lots and lots of rings. ...and fog. Superman likes fog.
I'd love to see a Galaxy 1&2 collection also. Day 1 purchase for sure.
As for Double Dash, I loved it back on the Gamecube and it's still a great game, but I think I'd like to see them do a Double Dash 2 at this point. If it's not in their plans though, I'd gladly take the remaster.
One that I really want also is the Wind Waker remaster from the Wii U. I never owned a Wii U, as is the case with many of the new Switch owners. I do...
That may be short of their target, but 38 million is already really close, just under the total sales of the XBox One to date. A 2017 system vs a late 2013 system. Still great numbers, they're just projecting really high based on the Switch's fantastic first year. Scaling their expectations is necessary of course.
This is silly. What you're seeing is not the system losing relevance, it's that the first year was such a blowout year of sales and things are normalizing. It was the fastest selling system in history for many countries, it has already beat the XBox One in lifetime sales in some. It outpaced the sales of the Wii in that 1st year.
It hasn't sold as fast in this second year, but that doesn't mean it's not selling well. It just has stabilized more during t...
I had a chance to play it at Lisboa (Lisbon) Games week on the 17th this month. I think it's shaping up nicely. Yea, the zombie designs aren't the best, but the gameplay was a lot smoother than I expected and most of all FUN.
Gearbox is an easy one, because they were already known for making crap games plus Borderlands.. their only saving grace.
One that disappoints me the most though is Team ICO. I know I'll get lots of downvotes, but hear me out. First, I love The Last Guardian. Well, I love the concept. I WANT to love it. It's gorgeous (mostly), I love the pacing, the evolution of the boy and Trico's relationship.. the atmosphere is fantastic.
With all that sa...
