I don't remember anyone hating on this game. There was some disappointment that it wasn't a single player story at first but I don't consider that hating. Also, since it became free to play, it's peaked a few peoples interest that wouldn't have otherwise looked at the game. I'm a perfect example of that. It wasn't on my radar until I heard about it being free to play, which then caused me to look into it more and now it's one i'm really looking forward ...

If they were making $28.00 off each console at $499 (with kinect) and if reports of kinect costing well over $100 to manufacture I don't think it's unreasonable to think that MS is at least breaking even on a $349.99 sku. if not still making a few bucks.

It can only be good for business if the lower price means more adopters that buy games and purchase subscriptions for xbox live. I'm curious if MS is still making a profit on the xbox one at $349.99.

I'm a console gamer that owns a pc but doesn't play games on it so I feel the same way about the PC. My opinion of PC gaming is that it's mostly shovelware, mobas, world of warcraft and a handful of console ports from 3rd parties like EA, Ubisoft, etc. I can't think of a single title released on PC in the last 10 years that I wish I had the opportunity to play. Support Microsoft anyway you want, either windows pc or xbox they still get your money and support. I don't think they need to keep all of their exclusives separate. Especially since they are trying to unify their platform. Most console gamers wouldn't play on pc's even if you gave them a gaming rig for free. Pc's just don't appeal to a lot of people when it comes to gaming. Everyone has their preferred platform and that's great.
As someone who has never played the Witcher games I'm wondering if I can start on the 3rd or if I need to go back and play the first two. I still have the second one for free from games with gold but I just don't know if I'll have to time to get through the first two. Anyone else starting with the 3rd one?
