I believed in Sony, I defended the PS3 from all the Xbox fanboys who said it was destined to fail. I bought it at launch too, but guess what? it is quite the success story.

Nintendo made a mistake in targeting the casual market. It's very fickle and loves new trends. At the time, the Wii felt different to the competition, but the casuals just aren't buying in to the whole Wii U concept. The Wii U's features have been poorly explained and the name makes it sound like an add on.
Nintendo thought they could just simply release outdated hardware with low manufacturing costs to make short term profit, but now people want more power, more...
Translation: we made the same mistake we did in 2005. We rushed a console to the market in time for Christmas.
